Clocked in and ready to see patients! 🐾👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Captain & Rosé are officially working 9 to 5 ( we are open 8am-4pm) at VEI, and apparently they’ve decided veterinary ophthalmology is their new calling. 😂👀

Between checking eyes, looking through the slit lamp, and serving some serious doctor looks, these two are putting in a full day’s work.

🌟 Amazing progress in just a few weeks! 🌟

These are two of VEI Orlando’s feline patients showing the incredible response we can see with treatment for eosinophilic keratitis.

This autoimmune disease can lead to significant inflammatory changes on the surface of the eye that can be blinding. With the right medical therapy they will eventually become completely clear again.

We are so happy to see these two kitties on their way to clearer eyes and brighter days! 🐈 🩷

Beautiful puppies start with thoughtful breeding—and eye health should be part of the plan.

OFA Eye Certification Exams performed by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist are an important screening tool for breeding programs. These exams evaluate puppies and breeding dogs for ocular abnormalities, including conditions that may be inherited.

🧬 Why should breeders consider OFA eye exams?

🐶 Identify congenital or inherited eye abnormalities
👁️ Screen puppies before they leave for their new homes
🧬 Make more informed breeding decisions
📋 Provide puppy families with additional health information

Some inherited eye conditions may be present without obvious signs at home. A puppy can appear to see normally while still having an abnormality detected during a comprehensive ophthalmic examination.
