Little Miss Sophie dressed up for us yesterday. She wasn’t too thrilled that she still had to get boosters though. Luckily for us, even after the boosters, she purred letting us know she forgave us as long as we promised we would tell everyone how beautiful she looked in her dress 😻

We're celebrating the incredible Veterinary Assistants who keep our hospital running every single day!

From comforting nervous pets and assisting in procedures to supporting our doctors and clients, their compassion, dedication, and hard work make all the difference.

We recently learned there are actually a few different times throughout the year dedicated to celebrating Veterinary Assistants, so we decided this was the perfect week to recognize our amazing team!

Here they are showing off their custom sweaters and getting ready for the fall season! 🍂🧡

Please join us in celebrating our wonderful VA team this week. Our days simply wouldn't run the same without them, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do for our patients, clients, doctors, and hospital.

💧 Leptospirosis is spread through the urine of infected animals and can be found in standing water, soil, yards, sidewalks, and other outdoor areas. Dogs can become infected when the bacteria enter through cuts or mucous membranes such as the eyes, nose, or mouth.

⚠️ Even dogs that appear healthy can carry and spread leptospirosis to other DOGS and HUMANS. Outdoor activity, contact with contaminated urine, natural water sources, and wildlife exposure all increase risk.

🐾 Symptoms may be mild or nonspecific, including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, decreased appetite, and weakness. Because treatment can be intensive and expensive, early veterinary care is key to improving outcomes and preventing irreversible liver and kidney damage.
