💙🐾 Happy Vet Tech Appreciation Week! 🐾💙

We’re kicking off our Vet Tech Appreciation Week shoutouts with Clarice! 🥰 Each day this week, we’ll be celebrating a different member of our Prestonwood Pet Clinic team and showing some extra love to the people who make a difference in our patients’ lives.

Clarice, thank you for the care, patience, and compassion you bring to veterinary medicine. Being a vet tech means so much more than what happens in the exam room. It’s the comforting moments, the extra attention, and the countless little things you do to help our patients feel their best. 🐶🐱

We’re so thankful to have you on our team, Clarice! Help us kick off the week by showing her some love in the comments! 💕

POV: You’re the practice manager, but the staff thinks you’re also a technician 😂💧

The talent has been summoned. 🫡

When it comes to your pet’s health, we rely on science, not magic!

Diagnostics like bloodwork, X-rays, and lab testing help us uncover hidden problems, get answers, and create the best treatment plan for your pet.

Because good medicine starts with knowing what’s really going on.

Exciting news! We’re changing our hours!

Starting October 19th, we’ll be open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM.

We’re making this change to better accommodate our clients and their busy schedules, with longer Saturday hours for added convenience.

We look forward to seeing you and your pets!

Bibbidi bobbidi boo!

Our Fairy Godmother Dr. Parker is here to make some healthy treat swaps.

While those puppy dog eyes may be tempting, some common table foods can be too fatty, salty, or unsafe for our pets. Instead, try offering dog safe alternatives:

🍕 Pizza → regular dog treats
🍗 Rotisserie chicken → freeze dried chicken treats
🥓 Bacon → carrots

The goal isn’t to skip the treats. It’s to choose treats that are safe and appropriate for your pet.

When it comes to sharing food with your furry family member, let’s keep the magic in the treats, not the table scraps! 🪄

🐾 Meet Bobby: The Little Kitten That Could! 🐾

Bobby has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a condition in which the cerebellum, the part of the brain responsible for coordination and balance, doesn’t fully develop.

A few facts about CH:

🐱 It is not contagious.

🐱 It is not progressive; the condition itself does not worsen over time.

🐱 It is not painful.

🐱 The severity varies from cat to cat. Some may be mildly wobbly, while others have more significant coordination challenges.

🐱 With time and practice, many CH cats learn to adapt and can walk, climb, play, and enjoy a wonderful quality of life.

Bobby’s journey is a great example. When she first arrived, her tremors were so severe that she couldn’t stand on her own.

Today, she is walking and climbing independently! 🥹❤️

She’s still a little wobbly, but she continues to learn, adapt, and amaze us every day.

We are so proud of this little girl and all the progress she has made.

Go, Bobby, go! 🐾💕
