"LOOK, MA! I'M FLYING!"

Not every pup is a fan of nail trims, and sometimes those little paws need a little extra help!

That's where our handy nail trim sling comes in! For some of our more wiggly or nervous puppers, it provides a little extra support and can be a great distraction while we get those nails trimmed.

Does your pup sit like an angel for nail trims, or act like you're trying to steal their toes?

Book your next nail trim online today: https://mpahvets.com/appointment/

Next Week Is All About Our White Rock Crew!

We will be celebrating the amazing people who make White Rock what it is!

From our reception team and kennel staff to our veterinary technicians and assistants, we're lucky to have a crew that puts so much heart into caring for your pets, even on the busiest and craziest days!

Now we want to hear from YOU!

Give your favorite White Rock team member a shout-out in the comments!
Maybe it's the receptionist who always remembers your pet, the tech who gives the best cuddles, or someone who made a stressful visit a little easier. Have a funny story or special memory? We'd love to hear it!

Sometimes, a few kind words from our clients are just what our team needs after a long day.
Follow along next week! We'll share photos of all the fun, treats, and surprises we have planned to show our crew how much we appreciate them!

Behind the Scrubs at Whiterock

When one of our familiar faces comes through the door, you can bet we'll sneak in a few extra hugs!

Between appointments, treatments, and the everyday busyness, it is moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. We hope those extra minutes of affection make our patients feel as special as they truly are. One thing's for sure: they brighten our day more than they probably know.

At Whiterock, caring for your pets goes beyond just the medical side. It’s about understanding them, giving them love, and ensuring they feel safe and cared for during their visit.

Does your pet have a favorite person they can’t wait to see when they come to see us?
We’d love to hear about it!

A Little Eye Trouble & Lots of Love!

Sweet Duke came in to see Dr. Lopez for some eye concerns, but that didn't stop him from giving out a few kisses!
We think it's safe to say these two became fast friends.

Pet parents, keep an eye out for:
Red, itchy, or irritated eyes
Excessive tearing or discharge
Squinting or holding an eye closed
Pawing at their eyes or rubbing their face

Eye problems can get worse quickly, so if something doesn't look right, give us a call!

One thing's for sure: Dr. Lopez never misses a chance to sneak in a little extra love with her patients.

Thanks for the kisses, Duke!

Care, Courage & a Whole Lot of Love

Meet Crixus ❤️
Crixus came to us very sick after a tumor on his spleen began bleeding into his abdomen, causing a life-threatening condition called hemoabdomen. He needed an emergency blood transfusion followed by surgery to remove his spleen and stop the bleeding.
Thanks to our incredible team (and one very brave patient!), Crixus made it through surgery and was able to go home with his family.

While we’re so grateful we were able to get him through this emergency, Crixus still has a difficult road ahead. For now, we’re celebrating the extra time he gets to spend surrounded by the people who love him most. Send some love and well-wishes to sweet Crixus 🐾❤️

Happy October from all of us at Metro Paws!

October is National Animal Safety & Protection Month and National Pet Wellness Month. Throughout the month, we will share simple ways to keep your pets healthy and out of trouble.

This month can also bring those “What did you just eat?!” moments. Please keep a close eye out for:

-Halloween candy, especially chocolate and anything containing xylitol
-Wild mushrooms popping up in the yard
-Rat and mouse poisons
-Seasonal plants, including mums

Any changes in your pet’s appetite, energy levels, bathroom habits, or behavior?
Give us a call; we are here to help.

INSIDE WHITE ROCK: Kitten Edition

We said, “Bring us the kittens.” They understood the assignment.

It was just another day at White Rock with Dr. Roche and Haylee, completely surrounded by tiny patients. We love meeting our patients when they're this young and watching them grow up over the years.

The real question is: How are we supposed to get any work done with this much cuteness in one room?

When Dr. Roche says, “Let me take a closer look…” she truly means CLOSER.

Some days in veterinary medicine require a little extra focus, and sometimes even some serious eyewear!

Behind the laughs, our doctors and team are always collaborating, learning, and paying attention to the small details that can make a significant difference for our patients.

We love that our team can work hard, care deeply, and still have a little fun along the way.

Now we need your help: What do you think Dr. Roche is investigating?
