TICKS & DOGS ๐Ÿพ

With warmer weather comes more time outdoorsโ€”and unfortunately, more ticks.

The good news? Finding a tick doesnโ€™t automatically mean your dog is sick.

Most tick bites do not result in disease, but early detection and removal are important. Thatโ€™s why one of the best habits you can develop is a quick daily tick check, especially after training, hunting, hiking, swimming, or spending time in tall grass.

Pay special attention to:
โ€ข Inside and around the ears
โ€ข Around the eyes and muzzle
โ€ข Under the collar
โ€ข Neck and chest
โ€ข Armpits
โ€ข Belly and groin
โ€ข Base of the tail
โ€ข Between the toes and paw pads

If you find a tick, remove it as soon as possible and monitor your dog for any changes in appetite, energy level, mobility, or overall health.

The best protection isnโ€™t panic.

Itโ€™s prevention, awareness, and routine checks.

A minute spent checking your dog today could help prevent a problem tomorrow. ๐Ÿพ
