🐾🐓 Can a German Shorthaired Pointer really live peacefully with chickens? Lady says, “Watch me!” ❤️ We love getting updates from our families!

At just one year old, Lady already knows there's a difference between hunting in the field and living peacefully with her feathered friends.

GSP owners, would you trust your bird dog around free-ranging chickens, or do you think their prey drive is just too strong? 👀👇

🐾 At Pointer Mountain Bird Dogs, Education Matters!

We believe responsible breeding goes beyond producing beautiful, healthy puppies. We're committed to continuing education, staying informed on veterinary research, and sharing valuable information with our puppy families.

🔬 A recent study published in The Veterinary Journal found that dogs spayed or neutered before 2 years of age had significantly higher odds of developing mast cell tumors compared to dogs that remained intact.

While this research does not prove that early spaying or neutering causes cancer, it highlights why timing matters and why these decisions deserve thoughtful conversations with your veterinarian.

Responsible breeding doesn't stop when a puppy goes home. Neither does education! 🐾

This is the most complete chart I've seen of GSP colors. Still, can be pretty subjective.
