Donating to the Snip for Hope is a tax deduction! New Hope Rescue is a 501(c)3. Help with our Low Cost Spay/Neuter program form Tallapoosa County.

Our Snip for Hope program is so POPULAR, that our account is in the NEGATIVE. We need FUNDS to issue more vouchers.

šŸ“So far we have issued 88 Vouchers. And we have 60 waiting to be issued.

🚨This means we need to raise $7000.00 to cover all these vouchers. And we are receiving more voucher request DAILY!!!!

This program was designed to help the residents of Tallapoosa Co ONLY. Dr Michelle Reeder of Animal Care Center and NHR have teamed up together to help these county residents get their pets fixed. Our hope is to put a little dent in the over population. Will it solve every issue, NO. Will it help a little, YES.

CARE Humane society has also extended their Snip + program to help the surrounding counties: Tallapoosa, Chambers & Macon. After talking with TJ, director of CARE Humane Society, we feel that working together as a team just made more sense to help all surrounding counties. She is also accepting donations towards their program. Please check it out!!! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DSCEtRrk3/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We feel that working with the community, getting to know the residents, and working together is better than doing nothing at all.

All info about our Snip for Hope program is listed on our FB page, website and at Animal Care Center. We would be glad to walk you through the process, if you should have any questions. We are always here if you have questions. Please feel free to message us or call Jenny: 344-332-9898 or ACC: 256-825-6737.

In the meantime, please feel free to share about our program so we can help get these babies fixed.

Just an update on our Snip for Hope Low Cost Spay/Neuter program we started with New Hope Rescue January 2026. We are working to make it better! We hope the Commissioner's office takes our request at the last meeting seriously. This county needs support. We are here to help but need the funds. Our applicants and surgeries have increased since the meeting! The residents of Tallapoosa County need to be able to bring their pets to a local caring clinic and not have to transport them to Birmingham or Montgomery. Their pets can be dropped off in the morning and go home the same afternoon. This is only the first step in assisting our stray overpopulation. Stay tuned for more news.

Our Snip for Hope program is going great!

We feel that working with the community, getting to know the residents, and working together is better than doing nothing at all.

Many of you know that this program is completely funded by NHR and donations specifically toward the Snip for Hope program. Since January, we have issued 85 vouchers. We have spent $4800.00 so far. Most all of this amount has been donated by NHR.

Last Monday, Dr Michelle and I presented a request at the commissioners meeting. We wanted the commissioners to know how hard we are working to get this program funded so we can continue helping the residents of Tallapoosa county. We did request $25,000 a year, to be apart of their yearly budget, to help fund this one specific program. The money will be placed directly in the Snip for Hope account at Animal Care Center. NHR will NOT be handling the money. Animal Care Center will. The small amounts we are asking the clients to pay, will stay in the Snip for Hope acct at ACC. NHR is just tracking, approving and issuing the vouchers. Once a voucher is approved, the client is emailed all instructions on how to use their vouchers. The client will be asked to print their voucher, call ACC, make their appt, and take their animal on their appointment day. NHR receives a copy of the voucher once used, so we can keep track of vouchers used.

We will keep you posted if our request is approved. IF the county does agree to help fund our low cost spay neuter program all records will be provided to the proper authority of the county to ensure all funds are used for spays and neuters only. The money will not be used for anything else.
