I need help getting a list into EXCEL of all the Texas Rescues.
The project would need to capture:
Rescue Name:
Address: (not all will have a physical address)
Phone #
Website.
If 501c3. Yes or No
ID if one exists
Not all rescues have 501c3 but they do fantastic work.

The latest on the Texas Animal Shelters/Control count is: 284
This number does include some SPCA's from different counties. I have vacillated back and forth whether to count them as a non-profit or regular shelter. According to some research not all SPCA's are non-profit.
My hope is to create a Texas interactive map for everyone to get information from.

Shelter database update: So far we have dwindled the amount of Shelters to 304 with a couple permanently closed. Imagine how many small-town shelters go un-noticed. What does that mean? Dogs that aren't adopted, lose their lives.

Did you know that there are some towns that do not have an animal control?
As I have been building the database for animal control and/or shelters, this is what I have come across.

For the database on Texas Shelters there are 354. This project is still in progress.

As part if GIS project, we are working on placing all animal control/shelters database (NOT RESCUE YET). Once completed, a map will be created. Hoping to get statistics for dogs euthanized, adopted or reclaimed.

We were contacted by a good Samaritan about a momma dog and her 3 puppies! Our intake is closed but we still want to help by sharing. This family needs help another rescue. Bin the meantime, we need food and dewormer. A couple of dogs beds.
