Helping Hounds Find Homes Inc.

Helping Hounds Find Homes Inc. Helping Hounds Find Homes, Inc. was created to help unwanted pets find homes and rescue placement. We do this through transport.

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted homeless animals. HHFH works with owners, shelters and humane agencies statewide to offer a unique option to animals that are adoptable but unable to find homes locally. Every week pictures of our animals are sent to rescue agencies in Chicago and Canada; these groups network with other no-kill shelters and fo

ster care parents to place the animals we have in Kentucky shelters. Once the animals are chosen, transport is then organized. As many as 100 dogs at a time are transported to Chicago or to the Canada pick up location to be taken to new homes. Several times a month animals are on the road to Chicago, Canada, and other locations. Hundreds of lives are saved per year. In an effort to save some of those who are not able to make the transport, multiple mobile adoption events occur throughout the year to place both shelter dogs and cats locally.

🚨 Rescue Plea 🚨

We are urgently looking for a larger rescue organization willing to pull and help this sweet kitten. This baby has no mobility in the back legs, but otherwise is very healthy and full of life.

The kitten is able to use the bathroom on its own, has no open wounds or visible injuries, and gets around surprisingly well despite the mobility issue. This little one is determined, active, and deserves a chance at the specialized care and resources rescue can provide.

We know there is a rescue out there with the experience and heart to help this baby thrive. Please share, tag rescues, and help us get this kitten seen. We are looking for a rescue with the ability to provide long-term care and evaluate what support may be needed.

Please message us if you can help or know a rescue that may be able to step in. ❤️

Meet Tulip 🌷

Tulip is a beautiful little kitten with a mostly white coat accented by soft grey patches, giving her a delicate, flower-like charm that matches her name perfectly. She’s full of playful energy and loves to chase toys, explore her surroundings, and bring a lively spark to any home.

But Tulip isn’t all zoomies—she also has a sweet, cuddly side. After a good play session, she’s happiest curled up close beside you, enjoying a cozy afternoon nap. She thrives on companionship and will gladly be your snuggle buddy when it’s time to relax.

Tulip has been spayed, is up to date on all her vaccinations, and is fully litter box trained, making her an easy addition to her future family. Tulip's adoption fee is $100.

If you’re looking for a kitten who brings both fun and affection in equal measure, Tulip is ready to bloom in your home 💕

Sharing stories about “taming feral cats” may feel encouraging, but for the vast majority of truly feral cats, it’s simply not a realistic outcome. These cats are not just shy or scared. They are unsocialized, and trying to force that change can create more stress and harm than good.

Unless you are personally offering to take on that time, responsibility, and long-term commitment, a comment suggesting that someone else work with them doesn't actually help the situation in front of us.

What does help—what truly changes their lives—is TNR.

Rescues and shelters are already stretched beyond capacity. They don’t have the resources to tame and place every cat living outdoors, and we can’t realistically remove every cat from less-than-perfect environments.

But we 𝙘𝙖𝙣 reduce suffering.
We 𝙘𝙖𝙣 stop the cycle.
We 𝙘𝙖𝙣 give them a safer, healthier life where they are.

Trap-Neuter-Return is the most humane, effective way to do that. It may not feel as heartwarming as the idea of every cat becoming a pet, but it’s the reality that protects the most lives.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

Meet Willow 🖤 — a sweet black mama cat who was taken in during the freezing cold by a kind-hearted woman. Not long after, Willow gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens, now about 4 weeks old.

Unfortunately, the situation has become unsafe. The resident dog is showing aggression toward Willow and her babies, and their caretaker is genuinely worried they could be hurt. 💔

We NEED a foster ASAP to give this little family a safe, quiet place to land. This would be a short-term commitment — the kittens are already growing quickly and will be ready for the next step before you know it!

✨ We provide ALL supplies
✨ You provide a safe, loving space

This could be the perfect opportunity for someone wanting a temporary, rewarding experience — especially with summer break right around the corner ☀️

Please message us if you can help Willow and her babies stay safe 🙏
