🐾 Grateful Dawg Grooming on the Farm 🐾

We have welcomed lots of new clients this spring, which means our summer schedule is filling up quickly!

At this time, we only have a couple of appointments available on July 19th and a few openings on August 2nd. After those dates, we are currently booked with limited fall and winter appointments!!

We do maintain a waitlist and would be happy to add your pup in case of cancellations or schedule changes.

Please call or text Jess at 252-715-9131 to schedule an appointment or be added to the waitlist.

Thank you so much for your continued support! 💙💛🐶

🚨 FLEA & TICK POLICY REMINDER 🚨

I want to say this as clearly as possible:

We do NOT, under any circumstances, accept dogs that are not on prescription flea and tick prevention or wearing a Seresto collar. These are the only forms of prevention we accept. ( Frontline and any other liquid flea prevention DOES NOT work here on the inner and outer banks )

Please do not bring your dog to either of my salons and tell us they “never get fleas” only for them to arrive covered in fleas. Fleas and ticks are already extremely bad this year, and they multiply very quickly once introduced into a home or salon.

If your dog goes outside—even for a short period of time—and is not on proper prevention, they are at risk of picking up fleas and ticks and bringing them into your home and our salon.

If your dog is itchy, scratching excessively, or you know they are not currently on approved flea and tick prevention, please contact us before your appointment. We will need to reschedule your appointment until proof of prevention can be provided.

When fleas are brought into the salon, it creates a major disruption. We are forced to stop grooming, treat the salon with harsh chemicals, sanitize the facility, and potentially cancel other clients’ appointments for the day.

We work very hard to maintain a clean, safe environment for every pet in our care and appreciate your cooperation in helping us protect all of our furry clients.

🚨 WHY WE TAKE FLEAS SO SERIOUSLY 🚨

One female flea can lay 20–50 eggs PER DAY and can begin laying eggs within 24–48 hours after feeding. In ideal conditions, just 10 female fleas can turn into more than 250,000 fleas in only 30 days.

Fleas don’t just stay on your dog. Eggs fall into carpets, bedding, kennels, cracks in floors, and grooming salons where they continue their life cycle. For every flea you see on a pet, there may be many more developing in the environment.

This is why Grateful Dawg Grooming requires all dogs to be on prescription flea and tick prevention or wearing a Seresto collar. Protecting your pet helps protect every pet that comes through our doors. 🐾❤️

Thank you for your understanding and support. ❤️🐾

We’ve made the decision to take our home off the market and invest back into it with all new windows and siding.

This place means so much to us — and we’re here to stay. 💙
That also means Grateful Dawg Grooming at The Farm isn’t going anywhere! 🐾

We’re so grateful for the love and support from our amazing clients and community. We can’t wait to continue growing right here with you all.

Love, GDG 🐾
