How to pronounce my name: "Cricks Us". I was rescued February 2, 2013 when I was 15months. My sister Naevia (Nay-Via) is also a red Doberman Pinscher. Born on February 8, 2013. She was rescued on October 27, 2014. She was heart worm positive and underwent treatments. As of July 2015 she's heart worm free. She was bred on her first heat therefore is smaller than the breed.

Happy 4th Birthday to Sheba! 🥳🐾💜

Four years old and already such a huge part of our family, especially for Chase. The bond those two have built is something pretty special. She’s always watching him, checking on him, and never too far away, but she’s also more than happy to let him throw her ball over and over again. 💜

She spent her birthday doing all of her favorite things, including adding a little excitement to the day when she somehow managed to catch a chipmunk in the backyard. 😳🐿️☠️ Apparently that was her idea of a birthday present to herself...😬

Once Chase goes to bed, she switches over to playing with Tiberius and her toys until she finally wears herself out. Then she crawls on top of me because this girl always has to be touching somebody.

A little Sheba & Chase update. 🐾

Sheba has been doing really well with Chase, especially on the days when he’s a little off and needs some extra support. She’s been providing deep pressure when he needs it, but their relationship definitely isn’t all work. These two can go back and forth forever with her ball Chase throws it, Sheba brings it right back, and repeat. 😂

Tiberius is also learning how to be around Chase more. For so long, he was usually with Naevia while Chase was awake, and then during Chase’s naps and at bedtime, he’d spend more time with Sheba. Now we’re all adjusting to a different routine. He’s doing well, although I still have to remind him sometimes that when Sheba is working with Chase, it’s not his turn to distract her.

Things around here are different without Naevia, and I think we’re all still figuring out what our new normal looks like. But watching Sheba and Chase grow closer, and seeing Tiberius slowly find his place in their routine too, has been one of the sweeter parts of that adjustment. ❤️‍🩹

I didn't really update Crixus profile when he passed, but when reordering dog treats for Sheba and Tiberius over the weekend I ended up memorializing Naevia's profile. It's never easy making that selection and appreciating their customer service.

We were able to bring her home yesterday as soon as they called. 🩷

From Pre-K to his first day of High School.

Naevia has been there to send Maddex off to school from the very beginning. So much has changed between these two pictures, but she has always been there with her boy.

This week, this was our goal… to get her to this day. To have her here to send Maddex off for his first day of high school.

She made it. 🩷

Pre-K ➝ Freshman year. A much bigger Maddex with his Naevia still by his side.
Please say a little prayer for our girl. ❤️‍🩹 I’m not ready to talk about it just yet, but I’ll share more when I am.

A big thank you to Hoss Straps for sending Sheba her new purple collar! 💜 We've been excited for this one to arrive!

The boys, Crixus & Tiberius, have always worn orange, and Naevia has always been our pink girl. When Sheba joined the family, we needed another color to help people who don't know them as well tell everyone apart.

Purple became Sheba's color, and now she finally has her Hoss Straps collar to match! 💜

Thank you again, Hoss Straps! We love it!

The last few weeks have been a little harder on our sweet Naevia. ❤️‍🩹

With Tyler and Maddex leaving for one last trip before school starts, Maddex wanted to spend some extra time with her before they leave just in case. We all know she's getting older, and while we're hoping for more good days, we also know our time with her is becoming more limited and precious.

She's slowing down more, her body just isn't keeping up like it used to, and even simple trips outside to go potty leave her breathing much harder than before.

For now, we're just taking it one day at a time, making sure she knows how loved she is. 🩷

Had to do a double take... She had just been outside and wasn't expecting her to be all covered so fast. Lots of rain, but she typically sleeps all day anyways.

Naevia the other day wanted Tiberius to play with her. Tiberius is the type that goes potty and runs back in... Often making us yell at him to go back and finish going potty. 🤦 Naevia is the opposite she takes her time coming back.
