Rumor's story is one of the most remarkable we've encountered in all our years of rescue.. a story of a dog who simply refused to give up. ❤️🩹 Back in May, a local animal control partner called us about a senior dog found after living alone with her deceased owner for two months. She was so starved and dehydrated she could barely lift her head, and we wondered if she'd be able to pull through.
Rumor was rushed into intensive care, with vets monitoring her around the clock - her entire treatment generously covered by the 15/10 Foundation. Once stable, she moved to a foster home to continue healing, and within weeks, the spark returned to her eyes.
Turns out, Rumor was once a Frisbee champion, and it shows. 🥏 Still a bit wobbly on her feet, she can sn**ch a Frisbee out of the air like she did when she was a young pup. She adores other dogs, gets along beautifully with kids and cats, and is a total cuddlebug who'd happily soak up pets all day. Rumor does have chronic kidney disease, but it's easily managed with daily medication and sub-Q fluids every three days - which she takes without a fuss. The 15/10 Foundation has generously offered to cover these costs for the foreseeable future.
After the nightmare she survived, this sweet girl deserves nothing less than a second chance. Rumor is about 10 years old and currently weighs about 30 pounds.
