It was a very busy but very successful day at the shelter! Toby, Spoon, Spatula, Michael, Tito, Jackie, Rico, Tiger and Cookie have all been adopted. Tulip and Pawtunia have pending adoptions. Thank you to Brenco Solutions for sponsoring the adoptions for the rest of the week! We will post an updated list of who is still available shortly!

UPDATE! This generous offer has been extended through 9/14! The owner of Brenco Solutions has offered to pay for the adoption fee of any animal that gets adopted from our shelter today! Come take a look, maybe you'll find a new family member! We are open from 10:00-4:30 today!

Labor Day is tomorrow! While normally all government buildings are closed, we thought we would do something a little different this year. Our staff will be here working regardless of the holiday, so we thought why not remain open to the public and try to get some of these adorable animals adopted out instead! Tomorrow we will be open for normal business hours from 10:00-4:30 and we will also be reducing adoption prices by 50%. Dogs will be $85 and Cats will be $45 tomorrow! To help streamline the process please fill out an adoption application ahead of time, bring any vaccination records you have for your current animals, and bring your dogs for meet and greets if you have them. We have had a lot of strays come in recently and very few of them have been microchipped. Microchipping your pets makes it so much easier to reunite them with you if they happen to get loose. Our officers carry microchip scanners in their vehicles and could likely return your pet to you without even having to bring them to the shelter.

As a reminder our shelter does offer microchip services for the community and we encourage you to come in anytime during our open hours to have that done. The price has been $25 for a microchip implant but we will be lowering that price to $20 to encourage more citizens to come in. Going forward we will also be including microchip services as part of the owner reclaim process at no additional charge to the normal pickup fee should the owner wish to have that done.
