Giving the big guy some outside time during my lunch. He walked out here with my assistance until we got to the grass then I let go of the reigns. Baby steps!

It's been a while since I have posted about Ex. But to my defense he keeps me busy! He has made so much improvement from not being able to move to now standing on his own and keeping his balance pretty well. His left leg still doesn't always want to cooperate so his back end will swing around at times. I have trusted him to walk his body length ×2 without any support which allows him to get up off his bed and step outside the door before I add support. Once he gets outside, he tries to take off but he doesn't understand he is not at that level yet. I still have to express his bladder for him to go but you better believe he tells me when it's time which is encouraging. He still does not have control of his bowels but as long as he is not fed human food we are able to manage that really well. He still doesn't have a lot of muscle tone in his back legs and I'm hoping as that builds and he gets stronger he will be able to take longer walks on his own. Let me know if anyone knows of any physical therapy we can do for that back left leg for him to get more control of it!

This pup loves his babies! Ivan just turned a year old this past Thursday. The babies are 2. He has been with them half their lives.
