Did you know that Dr Rowe is Santa's veterinarian? Once a year, Dr Rowe and a lucky technician get to travel to the North Pole to make sure that the reindeer are in tip top shape for their flight on Christmas Eve. Here's a photo adventure of their trip!

I had the absolute pleasure of spending the last two days at the Henton Veterinary Conference at the University of Tennessee with Evey Burchett. She is intelligent, kind, and genuinely a joy to be around. Evey has such a bright future ahead of her, and I have no doubt she’ll excel—whether that’s in Veterinary School or any path she chooses. Go Evey!

I was prepared for the worst. I was prepared to see my girl possibly go down the worst way. However I was ready for it. I was ready to be there for her final moments even if that meant I had to watch her go down in the worst way, because lets be honest, they are 1200 plus pound animals... I had been praying, asking so many for well thoughts, wishes, and prayers for a peaceful passing. When I say this was extremely peaceful, I am not kidding you. I went back and forth once again on sharing this because it's extremely heartbreaking, however it reminds me that she went so peacefully. She went with me telling her goodbye. She went with me thanking her for all she did for me. She is truly one in a million and her legend deserves to live on. I know this photo is a bit raw, but I promise you, she went exactly how I wanted. With me right there by her side, so peaceful, and she entered Heaven pain free. I can forever hold that in my heart. ❤️ This horse taught me more about strength than any person ever did. She taught me that true friendship means letting go on a good day. 💔😢 I am here to grieve with you. You are not alone. 💔 Feel free to follow our journey. Pearl made me who I am today. 🌟

I feel beyond blessed to be working alongside two truly incredible home-euthanasia doctors. Watching the way they care for families and their beloved pets during one of life’s hardest moments is something I’ll never forget.

Their compassion is deep, their gentleness is unmatched, and the peace they bring into each home is a gift. To witness the love, dignity, and comfort they give to animals in their final moments has touched my heart in ways I can’t fully put into words.

I’m honored to walk beside them in this work — helping families say goodbye with tenderness, respect, and grace. 💛🐾

Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Brittany Kessler, founder and owner of Kessler’s Veterinary Services. We provide in-home euthanasia services in the Northern AL area. My husband and I moved here in 2020 and consider it our forever home. I worked in private practice for 5 years before deciding on a different path. It wasn’t until I had to euthanize my dog Chance (in the picture) that I found that there was a need in Cullman County and surrounding areas when it came to Veterinary Care, and that was in home euthanasia. Chance was never a fan of having to go into a clinic and when it came time to let him go, it was less stressful for him at home on our farm. Please let us know if we can assist you and your animals with end of life needs.
