Yes this husky was trying to make it to the pet food aisle at the Cuero HEB this morning but Pet Adoptions of Cuero came to the rescue so we had to step up and get him for now in the safety of our shelter. If this is your dog please contact us NOW or share this post - he has no ID but he does have a tracker collar. If this dog has been picked up by the city you would have gotten a ticket!!! 361-243-8540

With lots of new kittens (30) and lots of new puppies (18) - it is SO nice to have NEW volunteers at Pet Adoptions of Cuero. A big thank you to our "volunteers of the day - Freya and Ceye". This cheerful duo showed up bright and early this morning to pitch in with all the daily maintenance work and then offer some cuddles and petting to help socialize the newbies. Pet Adoptions of Cuero welcomes new helpers from 16 to 96 and beyond! Come TRY it - you'll like it! Help is needed every day of the year - we are open all 365 days from 8 AM till 12 noon at 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero, TX 361-243-8540

Okay - who thought it was a good idea to either abandon these 3 puppies or let them roam on their own on Church Street in Cuero, Texas this morning? And if you did, I guess your prayers worked because they were rescued and YES - they are just where you expected them to be - PET ADOPTIONS OF CUERO.!!! So please come claim your puppies or come adopt these puppies - they do not need to grow up in a shelter - and the shelter cannot handle this overwhelming PUPPY EXTRAVAGANZA!!! So the prayers may have temporarily worked for OZZIE, HARRIET and KENDAL - but now we need PRAYERS and more for the understaffed and worn out PAOC crew. Every day is an impossible situation - if you can't adopt, come foster or come pitch in for even an hour or two - open every day of the year from 8 am till 12 noon -WE NEED HELP - 407 US Highway 183 South, Cuero 361-243-8540

We ain't kiddin - we've got TOO MANY Kittens! Pet Adoptions of Cuero has every fur color imagineable in our overwhelming selection of cute, cuddly kitties. There are tuxedo's, solid blacks, black with accents, solid milky greys, grey and whites, stripes up and down and all around, patches, solid whites, peaches, blushs, vivid orange, tri colors, tabbies, and color combinations that are truly one of a kind. And we sure wish they were not caged and could be free roaming at (we hope SOON) their new forever homes. These little guys and gals would love to be adopted in pairs - so they will have a full time playmate. Come check all all the rooms and cages here at Pet Adoptions of Cuero and find your next forever MEOW-mates. GREAT PYRENEES - Two Great Pyrenees - are in desperate need of a new home or urgently need to find their pet parents. These mild mellow dogs have either been dumped or managed to wonder from their home. So - these smart dogs - they took up residence at the home of a lovely couple in their 80's! And there is no way they can safely stay there - SO PLEASE SHARE THIS POST or call with any owner information. Pet Adoptions of Cuero does not have any shelter space but we knew we had to step up and make things happen for this senior couple and these homeless canines. The dogs have been groomed and PAOC is picking up the tab for vet costs which include spay/neuter/microchip/vet tests and shots to date. They are estimated to be 2 or 3 years old, get along with other dogs and just love laying in a shady spot and of course enjoying meal times each day. PAOC took several calls this morning about 4 loose adult dogs on Route 113 - also known as Old Yoakum Road in Dewitt Co., Texas Please share this post so their pet parents will head out that way to retrieve them. They are roaming on a busy highway which is not only dangerous for them but also for the drivers who may be trying to keep from hitting them and swerve to avoid contact. Praying they are not dumped dogs, praying that someone can secure them - unfortunately PAOC would love to help but we don't have the man power or the space. Again please share and share this post.

A winning combination - PUPPIES and Pre-K kiddo's! That's what happened today when the team from Pet Adoptions of Cuero ventured out to Grace Episcopal Church here in Cuero. The summer camp children's group welcomed half a dozen of the newest arrival of pups for a morning play session. The pups loved all the one on one attention and the kiddo's loved the puppy kisses and cuddles. Thanks to GEC for the invite and all the wonderful pet food and pet toy donations.

82 - yes EIGHTY-TWO - IS THE NUMBER OF UNWANTED PUPPIES Pet Adoptions of Cuero has had to turn away this week. Caller after caller after caller has 6 pups, 3 pups, 11 pups, 4 pups etc. that they 'DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH". Every call starts with "I have called every shelter/rescue in the state and no one has any openings" - we are at PUPPY CRISIS times 10! Please spread the word to the general public - there is no way out of this overwhelming unwanted pet situation. You have a pet, you have an un-FIXED pet? Then you are going to add to this sad sickening situation. Pet Adoptions of Cuero currently has 15 that are bona fide "puppies" in our inventory but we also have 25 teen, adult and senior dogs that need and want forever homes. Besides all the "puppy calls" we have dozens and dozens of "I don't have time for my pet anymore" - that we have had for 4 or more years!!!! We have "adoption" in the name of our organization but it appears we have become just a "resident" hall for some beautiful loving pets that folks have discarded like trash. We need adopters and fosters and anyone who wants to step up and offer one or two of our fur babes a second loving chance. Please share this post and maybe come by and see one or two of our PAOC cuties that will tug at your heartstrings - and know that you can give it a real forever home. We stay open 7 days a week so we are ready when you are to visit.
