All animals are given age appropriate vaccinations and wormer and are lovingly cared for while they wait for their permanent homes. Please consider adopting a shelter pet and remember to make sure that your pet has ID at all times, such as a collar with name and phone number, rabies tag, and micro-chipping. Our ultimate goal would be to keep an empty shelter and for everyone to know the joy of having a loving pet in their lives!

Today we received these donations in loving memory of Gabe Peak, who is deeply missed and cherished beyond measure. His profound love for animals was one of the many wonderful traits that defined him. This tribute was generously donated by his best friend, Barcley Graham, and Barcley’s mother, Rita Satterfield.

It’s a beautiful tradition they uphold for our small community every year, and there aren’t enough words to express our gratitude for the love and kindness they bring forward to the animals each time.

Update: Biscuit has found her FURever home with a wonderful family!

Things don’t always work out and that’s okay! Biscuit is available once again and on the look out for a forever home! She’s 8 weeks old, just under 3 pounds, and has had her first distemper vaccine.

She’s a sweet girl who would love to go with you anywhere and does well with potty pads for such a young pup.

If you’d be interested in having your own little shadow, please contact the shelter! ❤️🐾

Update: Both pups have been pre-adopted!

Biscuit and Scout were left abandoned overnight in a milk crate at our gate nearly four weeks ago. Now, at the tender age of eight weeks, it’s time for them to find their forever homes.

Watching them grow into the joyful little dogs they are now has been a bittersweet experience. Although we don’t know their past, we do know that they’ve been showered with love and safety while at the shelter.

Biscuit, a sweet little girl, weighs just under 3 pounds and has already received her first distemper shot. Scout, our little man, is 2 and a half pounds and has had a distemper shot of his own.

Both puppies are incredibly affectionate and love following the staff wherever they go. They’ve also adapted well to using the potty pads in their kennel.

We’re not sure of their exact breeds or how large they’ll grow, but we’re guessing they might be a lab mix. Regardless of their background, we believe they would be a perfect addition to someone’s life ❤️

If you’re interested in adopting Biscuit or Scout, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at the shelter.
