Django stopped by for his final kitten boosters—and showed us his social side!

His owner shared that this was the most interactive, outgoing, and social he has been since being adopted. We’re honored that Django felt comfortable enough to come out of his shell during his visit!

We’ve had quite the parade of adorable feline friends lately, and we’re certainly not complaining.

Our final summer holiday weekend has arrived. As a friendly reminder, we will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday September 7th.

As we won't be open during our normal business hours on Monday, we encourage all of our pet parents to double and triple check that they have all of the medications and food for their pets that they need to get through the weekend.

Be safe, stay cool and we will see you on Tuesday.

From dogs and cats to little guinea pigs like Pretzel, every pet deserves calm, compassionate, and knowledgeable care.

We’re so grateful Lauren trusted our team to take the time to understand Pretzel’s needs, answer her questions, and provide practical next steps.

Have you had a positive experience with our team? Leave us a review! Your feedback helps other pet owners feel confident choosing the right care for every member of their family—big or small.

Tiny legs, big courage.

This sweet little girl, Mia handled their visit like a champ—and looked pretty adorable doing it! We love making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with us.

As you may have noticed, we’ve been having some internet. Here’s the thing: our servers are housed at Charlottesville and if Charlottesvilles internet access goes down, so does our ability to connect to the server and get access to our systems and records.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work around the clock to resolve this issue.

It’s National Dog Day!

Today we’re celebrating the tail wags, wet noses, slobbery kisses, and unconditional love that make life so much better. We feel incredibly lucky to care for your pups through every stage of their lives!

Help us celebrate by sharing a photo of your dog in the comments—and tell us what makes them the very best!

“When they said the exam room had a spa, this isn’t exactly what I pictured.”

Some cats hide under the table. Others prefer the sink. We’re happy to let our feline patients settle wherever they feel most comfortable!

Does your cat have an unusual favorite hiding spot? Tell us in the comments!

With the combination of extreme heat and smoke from the Canadian wildfires, our pets are feeling it too.

Just like people, dogs and cats can experience irritation from poor air quality. If the air looks hazy or you can smell smoke, it’s a good idea to:
• Limit long walks and strenuous outdoor play.
• Keep pets indoors as much as possible with windows closed.
• Make sure they always have access to fresh, cool water.
• Watch for signs of trouble like coughing, wheezing, excessive panting, watery eyes, lethargy, or difficulty breathing.

Brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, senior pets, puppies and kittens, and pets with heart or lung disease are especially vulnerable.

If your pet is having trouble breathing or seems unusually distressed, don’t wait—contact your veterinarian right away.

Stay cool, stay safe, and give your furry family members a little extra TLC during this stretch of hot, smoky weather.
