We adopted Fancy and her flock this week. Today is their first day free reigning. Our perimeter is fenced for Jingle and goats.

Our chickens and roosters separate into mini flocks. The roos protect them while outside.

Our old friend Tucker is staying with us while his mom is struggling with some health issues and in rehab.

Beetroot Chew Sticks for Dogs 🐶❤️

Naturally colorful and gently nutritious 🌱 These homemade beetroot chew sticks are simple, wholesome, and made with dog-safe ingredients. They offer a firm texture while remaining easy to digest—perfect as an occasional healthy reward.

Ingredients:

120 g cooked beetroot, mashed until completely smooth (plain, no seasoning)

1 large egg

170 g oat flour (finely ground oats)

Equipment:

Oven

Mixing bowl

Baking sheet

Parchment paper

Method:

Preheat your oven to 170°C / 340°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the smooth beetroot purée and egg. Mix until fully blended.

Gradually add the oat flour while stirring until a firm, workable dough forms.

Shape the dough into stick-like chew treats and place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 22–24 minutes until firm and cooked through.

Allow the chew sticks to cool completely before serving to your dog.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 24 minutes | Total Time: 34 minutes | Servings: 12–16 sticks
