Steve’O is a handsome Boxer/Pit mix who has been living in a foster home for about a month, and his foster family has had nothing but AMAZING things to say about this Rockstar! ⭐️

Steve’O absolutely LOVES life! He enjoys:
🎾 Running and chasing a ball
🧸 Playing with his stuffies (he’ll make a mess, but thankfully he doesn’t eat the stuffing! 😂)
❤️ Belly rubs — he could probably accept these all day!
🛋️ Cuddling and taking a snooze right on your lap

One of the best things about Steve’O is how comfortable he is in a home environment. His foster family reports that he is potty trained and does not chew or destroy things around the house. He knows how to be an energetic, playful boy, but he also knows how to calm down on command when it’s time to relax.

Steve’O already knows:

🐾 No
🐾 And he’s currently working on Leave It

He has also made LOTS of improvement with leash walking! 🙌

Meet Marvin, a stunning all-black German Shepherd who is estimated to be around 4 years old. 🖤

If you’ve seen Marvin’s previous posts, you may remember his heartbreaking story. Marvin was found tied to the bumper of a car with no shade, food, or water. Despite everything he has been through, Marvin is still hoping that someone will give him the chance he deserves. ❤️

Marvin is a special boy who needs someone willing to be patient with him. He is currently working on his people-meeting skills and can take some time to adjust and feel comfortable with new people.

🏡 Marvin would do best in a home:
• With no other animals
• With older children
• With an adopter who is willing to give him the time, patience, and understanding he needs to settle in

🐾 OUR SHELTER PETS NEED YOUR HELP! 🐾

Our shelter is currently in need of a few items to help keep our pups happy, healthy, and well cared for! ❤️

We are currently looking for donations of:

🥫 Dog wet food — ANY brand!
🥜 Peanut butter
🎃 100% pure pumpkin purée — please make sure it is 100% pumpkin and NOT pumpkin pie filling

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference to the animals in our care. Your generosity helps us provide our shelter pets with extra nutrition, enrichment, and tasty treats while they wait for their forever homes. 🐶❤️

📍 Donations can be dropped off at the Lake County Sheriff’s Animal Control & Adoption Center in our donation bins located in the vestibule.

🚨 LABOR DAY WEEKEND PSA FROM ANIMAL CONTROL🚨

It’s Labor Day weekend! 🍻🌭🇺🇸

We know some of you will be celebrating with a few adult beverages. Have fun. Enjoy yourselves.

But here’s a friendly reminder:

DO. NOT. DRINK. AND. DRIVE.

And apparently we also need to add:

🐶 LEAVE THE DOG AT HOME.
🐱 YES, THE CAT TOO.

Because if you decide to drink and drive with your four-legged passenger riding sh***un, here’s how your evening may go:

🚔 Woo-Woo! Pretty lights behind you.
👮 “Please step out of the vehicle.”
🔒 Congratulations! You’re going to Human Jail.

Meanwhile, there’s still a dog or cat sitting in your vehicle who has committed ZERO CRIMES.

They didn’t drink.
They didn’t drive.
They weren’t consulted about tonight’s plans.
And yet somehow, thanks to you, they’re getting booked too. 😂

🚐 Animal Control gets called.
🐾 Your innocent accomplice gets transported.
🏠 Welcome to ANIMAL JAIL.

Now normally you might think, “No big deal, I’ll just pick Fluffy up tomorrow.”

Except…

📅 MONDAY IS LABOR DAY.

Government offices + holiday weekend = you may have just turned your bad weekend decision into Fluffy’s Labor Day Weekend Jailcation.

💰 Oh, and did we mention Animal Jail isn’t free?

$25 initial impound fee PER ANIMAL
➕ $10 PER DAY, PER ANIMAL for boarding

Yes. Per animal.

Because unfortunately, Animal Jail does NOT offer a family plan, group discount, or Labor Day weekend special. 😂

So if you brought the whole furry crew along for your bad decision, congratulations — everybody gets a room, and everybody gets a tab.

Meanwhile, you’re figuring out the cost of your stay at Human Jail while your dog and/or cat are over here racking up room and board because apparently the entire family needed accommodations for the holiday weekend.

And trust us, your dog is going to tell us everything.

Your cat?

Your cat was already judging you before you got pulled over. Now it has paperwork to back up its case. 😾

So make a plan BEFORE you start celebrating. Get a designated driver. Call a friend. Get a ride. Stay where you are. Sleep on somebody’s couch.

Just don’t drink and drive!

And if you absolutely insist on making questionable decisions this weekend, please leave your innocent furry accomplices out of it.

How has this handsome puppy not found a home yet? 🐾

Meet Kaizer, an 11-month-old pup with a heart as big as his goofy personality! He's still just a baby, which means he's full of curiosity, excitement, and plenty of love to give. Whether he's playing with his favorite toys, learning new things, or soaking up attention from his favorite people, Kaizer is happiest when he's spending time with those he loves.

Like any young pup, Kaizer has lots of energy and is eager to continue learning with a family that's ready to help him grow into the amazing dog we know he'll become. In return, he'll reward you with endless tail wags, sloppy kisses, and a lifetime of unconditional love.

Unfortunately, shelter life isn't where a puppy should be growing up. The loud kennels and unfamiliar surroundings can be overwhelming, and we'd love to see Kaizer trade the shelter walls for a warm bed, a backyard to explore, and a family to call his own.
