We only service the unincorporated areas in Lake County, IN. We are a no-kill facility of adoptable pets. We strive to maintain a healthy, safe, and comfortable atmosphere for any animal that stays in our facility. Our mission is to do our best to find good, loving furever homes for all adoptable animals.

💔 Seeking Owner Information 🐾

It is with heavy hearts that we share that a young male Heeler was found deceased after reportedly being struck by a vehicle in the area of 12000 W. 165th Avenue in unincorporated Lowell, Indiana.

The dog was wearing a black collar with a grey clip and a blue flea collar. Unfortunately, no microchip was found.

We know that somewhere, someone may be missing this sweet boy, and our hope is to find his family so they can have some answers and know what happened to him. No pet owner should be left wondering where their beloved companion is.

🐷🐷 LOOKING FOR THEIR OWNER!

These two pigs have been roaming the area of the 4500 block of E. Oak Street in unincorporated Griffith, north of the airport, since yesterday. Closest cross streets are 51st and Johnson.

Unfortunately, our shelter is not equipped to safely house them.

We are hoping to locate their owner as soon as possible! If you recognize these pigs or have any information regarding who they may belong to, please contact Lake County Sheriff Animal Control & Adoption Center at 219-769-7016.

🚨 DO YOU KNOW ME? 🐾

At approximately 3:45 PM, this dog was abandoned outside the Lake County Sheriff Animal Control & Adoption Center.

The individual who dropped the dog off never entered the shelter. Instead, they left the dog outside and walked away.

During our investigation, we received information indicating this dog may have originally been found last week, possibly near Rutledge Street in Gary, Indiana.

We are asking for the public's help in identifying this dog and gathering any information regarding how it ended up at our facility.
