"He's ready now" the very words we never thought we would be able to say much less actually believe.... 🥺💔

Boss AKA Rocky - the one who has given an everlasting impact on the hearts of volunteers

When he came to us, it was impossible not to ache for him. His body told a story of neglect—wounds covering his skin, fear written into every movement. He was terrified, quiet, unsure of the world and the people around him. Whatever life had been before, it hadn’t been kind.
But even then, there was something about him. A gentleness. A soul that hadn’t given up.
With time, patience, and the steady love of volunteers, he began to soften. Slowly, cautiously, he learned that hands could heal instead of hurt. That voices could be kind. And once he trusted, he loved with his whole heart. Not halfway. Not cautiously. Completely.
Now, fully recovered and thriving in foster care, he is unrecognizable from the dog who first arrived. He is loyal to his core, deeply affectionate, and devoted to the people he loves. At around 90 pounds, he may look big and imposing, but he is a soft-hearted companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his person, to feel safe, and to belong.
He is incredibly smart and truly shines with routine, structure, and clear guidance. He wants to do well. He wants to be someone’s good dog. He would do best as the only pet or with a calm, submissive female dog, where he can feel secure and confident in his space.
To us, he isn’t just another shelter dog. He is proof of resilience. Proof that love can rewrite even the hardest beginnings. He is special—deeply, undeniably special—and whoever earns his trust next won’t just be adopting a dog. They’ll be becoming the center of his world.

He’s ready now. Ready for the forever he has always deserved.

In search of: the most perfect forever home 💜

Ginx is a female 5 year old Chocolate Point Siamese weighing around 12-15 lbs.

Ginx was once adopted as a kitten and then later returned as an adult. We do not know or understand why someone would return such an amazing companion. Ginx has an undying love and adoration for humans. She wants to be near, close, and almost even skin to skin contact. She loves to curl up in a warm lap where she will stay for hours, or spread out onto a chest and nestle her sweet face close into your neck. The way she craves affection is the most precious quality trait that she holds thus far. She is extremely laid back and well behaved, she is currently free fed and will snack through out the day, she is 100% litter box trained. It is rare to find her play with toys but it does happen and its the cutest!

We do not know what kind of socializing she has had prior to joining us, but she is not entirely fond of other animals. She does get jealous and she does share her opinions, however she is being fostered around other pets and though she may not "love" them she can live with them. She tolerates their presence and will keep her distance as needed. I would consider a home with another mellow cat or dog.

If you or someone you know is needing serious companionship and loyalty- Ginx is waiting patiently.

She is fully vetted and spayed. 🩷

I was scrolling through my pictures and came across Buddy... 🥺💔

I went to my data sheet for the shelter and came to the realization that Buddy now holds the title for Longest shelter resident... I had to double check... even triple check... because I truly cannot believe that a dog like Buddy is a longest resident in the shelter. How? Why?

The only true statement to make is that Buddy was born into an overpopulated world and at some point in his life he became homeless and then landed in a shelter. What a shame for such a wonderful dog that is so deserving of a home and family.

The feelings of defeat for our volunteers is very real, but there is seriously no time for compassion fatigue when these animals look up to us for their hope and future. We have to remain strong and continue advocating for them.

Buddy is not in any way the type of dog that becomes longest resident for this shelter: most commonly those dogs hold specific breeds/colors/or behaviors.

But Buddy? He is perfect. He is perfect both in health and behavior.

Heres what volunteers say about Buddy:

"Intake October 2025.
Buddy has essentially grown up in this shelter, and we have no clue why or how.

Buddy is fully vetted, neutered, tested HW- and he is EXCELLENT with other dogs. He meets play mates and ready to kick off friendship with them immediately. He loves toys and outside time. We are speechless about his circumstances.
He is so young and so full of life. There is not a single negative thing we can say about Buddy. He is a volunteer favorite. To be more descriptive he is the kind of dog you bring into public and will be a social butterfly - wanting to meet and greet everyone and being the life of the party. We truly adore him. Despite such a lengthy stay in a shelter environment- his spirit and potential has remained steadfast."

If there is an ultimate goal for us and for Buddy - it is to find him a rescue and officially take him for a last and final freedom walk away from the shelter where can leave those long months behind and embark on a brand new, well earned future.

Help Buddy. (Male Lab mix 40 lbs)

We would LOVE to help this boy at our local shelter but we would need a very committed foster for him 🐾

Our hearts skipped a beat yesterday as we met Axten 💓

This stunning handsome baby boy has a soft heart and a sweet loving personality. He was reluctant but became very trusting of us as we were a brand new face to him. Even through being unfamiliar he was open to all of the love we had to offer.

He is absolutely precious in every sense of word, short compact and petite. The perfect little bully mix.

We believe he is a young adult.
