It’s that time of year where we and several others have seen a few cases of canine cough. Please see the below and attached info and help us keep everyone happy and healthy! 🐾 CANINE COUGH: What Our Clients Should Know
Canine cough (often called kennel cough) is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can spread anywhere dogs are in close contact—including boarding facilities, daycare, dog parks, training facilities, vet offices, and even between dogs in the same neighborhood.
While most cases are mild, we take respiratory illness seriously and are being extra proactive to help protect the dogs in our care. ❤️
🧼 We have increased our disinfection protocols.
Instead of disinfecting our common areas once daily, we are now disinfecting after EVERY letout to help reduce the risk of transmission.
💉 Bordetella reminder:
We do not allow dogs to board within 10 days of receiving a Bordetella vaccine. Please plan vaccine appointments accordingly before an upcoming stay.
🏡 Please keep your dog home if they are coughing.
If your dog develops a cough, gagging/retching, sneezing, nasal discharge, lethargy, or other respiratory symptoms before their reservation, please let us know.
Even with thorough cleaning and precautions, respiratory illnesses can still spread because dogs may be contagious before showing symptoms. Our goal is to do everything reasonably possible to keep our guests happy, comfortable, and healthy.
