We had a wonderful time participating in the Mental Health Awareness Month Scavenger Hunt at Ohio State University at Lima last week. It was a great way to wrap up the month of May πΏπ
It was wonderful connecting with other local agencies, sharing resources, and helping raise awareness about the importance of mental health in our community. Lola joined us for the day and helped participants experience a simple co-regulation exercise, demonstrating how connection can help us feel calmer, more grounded, and more present.
Did you know? Approximately 1 in 5 U.S. adults experiences a mental health condition each year. Mental health challenges are common, and support matters.
Horses have an incredible ability to respond to human emotions and body language. Their sensitivity to nonverbal communication can help people increase self-awareness, practice emotional regulation, and experience meaningful connection in a unique way.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit Lola and learn more about mental health and equine-assisted services! π΄
