☀️🐾 Beat the Heat: Quick Summer Safety Tips for Your Pups! 🐾☀️

As the high heat rolls around, our four-legged family members need a little extra help staying cool. Since dogs can't sweat like we do, they are much more vulnerable to high temperatures.
Keep your pups safe this summer with these quick tips:

•💧 Fresh Water Always: Keep cool water available at all times, and bring a portable bowl on walks.

• 🐾 Test the Pavement: If it’s too hot for your bare hand, it’s too hot for their paws! Stick to grass or walk during cooler morning/evening hours.

• 🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cars: Parked cars reach dangerous temperatures in minutes. When running errands, leave your pup safely at home in the AC.

• ⚠️ Know the Signs: Excessive panting, heavy drooling, lethargy, or bright red gums can signal heatstroke.

If you suspect your pet is overheating, move them to the shade, apply a cool, damp towel, and call our team immediately! Have a safe summer!

The railroad will be replacing the tracks north of the clinic and Hwy 33 will be closed at the crossing. If you are coming from the east you will need to take 13th street going west at Bunge Mill and cross the tracks there. Construction is suppose to start Tuesday and last two days.
