Meet Chance, a young foal who embodies resilience and determination. Chance's journey began with significant hurdles, including contracted tendons and an infection in his left front leg, as well as a large sore on his leg. Following veterinary evaluation, including emergency x-rays, Chance's requirements for recovery are clear. At Epona Horse Rescue, we are dedicated to providing Chance with the necessary care and attention. Chance weighs 75 pounds and will need extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation. To support Chance's recovery, we kindly request donations for his veterinary care and daily needs. Contributions can be made through mail or digitally. Your support will significantly impact Chance's future health and well-being.

We will be setting up items to auction to raise funds as well.

Reflecting on someone's challenges sparks a profound opportunity for growth and empathy, paving the way for more meaningful connections. Sharing concerns without full understanding can be a misstep, but it's also a chance to learn and evolve into a better version of yourself. Take pride in your capacity for compassion, a quality that empowers you to choose your response, and that's something to be truly proud of. We all deserve kindness, and it's disheartening to see people rejoice in others' misfortunes, as kindness truly elevates us.

With all the remarkable developments over the past week, I'm thrilled to finally introduce the majestic Bosco. Bosco, a 25-year-old Tennessee Walker gelding, has been entrusted to my care by his loving owners, who believe in my ability to help him gain some much-needed weight and live out his golden years in comfort. This gentle giant, standing tall at nearly 17 hands, is a testament to kindness, with a sweet, gentle, and affectionate nature, although he does get a bit assertive when his dear friend Miss Cinnamon gets ready for turnout before him. It's a tremendous honor when people trust me with the care of their cherished equine companions. Bosco will soon be joined by two more Tennessee Walker geldings, all set to retire here, bringing joy and tranquility to our sanctuary. My heart swells with love and devotion for these senior horses, who truly deserve the best life has to offer.

Beautiful....yes this is being shared on Epona Horse Rescue, why you ask. Because the transformative power of Christ has profoundly impacted me as the director and a person. No longer do I live in fear, panic, and a need for control. Fear has been replaced with unwavering faith. Panic no longer dominates because of that unshakeable faith. And control has been surrendered to my Lord and Savior; yes, I still face challenges, and yes, I stumble, overstep, and let fear creep in. Yet, that gentle whisper comforts me in those moments and reminds me of my true identity. So, I offer prayers for those who misjudge me, for those whose pursuit of validation and justification is fueled by causing harm and spreading hatred towards others. God's peace is the reason I don't respond with anger and defensiveness to blatant falsehoods and unethical behavior by others. That is in God's hands, not mine. May you have a blessed day.
