This is a really nice mare ❤️ We originally picked her out as a youngster in Vatnsleysa. She is beautiful, sweet, and is a really nice riding horse. Her sire is a very successful competition horse in Sweden. You can see her now in Kentucky at Taktur Icelandic Horses, LLC

This is what the perfect new home looks like. ❤️

Saying goodbye to a horse who has been in our care is never easy, no matter how carefully we choose their new owner. But today, when we brought Gullbrá to her new home, we knew there could be no better place for her.

She has a wonderful new owner, an entire extended “family” of friends and neighbors ready to love her, and a sweet new Quarter Horse companion. Best of all, Gullbrá took one look at the children and seemed completely certain she had arrived in heaven.

Today, we didn’t drive away with heavy hearts. We drove away knowing Gullbrá was exactly where she belonged. 🥹
