Bekah has been in Southern Arkansas with Pro trainer Eric.
Eric is excellent on sending update videos constantly which is very nice since she is a 11 hour drive away.

In this video she is working on is what’s called a “T” drill, Eric will send her for the bumper with a “Back” command and when she reach’s or has the bumper in her mouth he will use a series of quick whistle blows which she has been taught to immediately return to him. After that retrieve has been completed she again is sent with the back command to run a straight line in in the direction Eric has lined her up with, once she hits the desired amount of distance she is stopped with “1” whistle blow which she is suppose to turn and look at Eric and sit and wait for him to signal with his arm the direction she is to go next.
Most people think this looks easy to train, but to be done flawlessly it takes hours of time and numerous other steps that lead up to this, in this video it was her second time of doing this type of drill.
I can’t thank Eric enough for the progress him and Bekah have done and look forward to many hours in the blind with her and hopefully numerous retrieves in her life time.

State kennel inspection was today. Passed with a A+
Now if the girls would start having some babies.

Rio and Truman show we had a successful pairing. Rio’s mother is one of the English Imports (Bristol)and her dad (Barlee) is from our late Cooper and Ava. Rio received her UKC title when she was 9 months and was handled by young lady who is friend to our family. Truman’s pedigree is packed with pointing titled champions.

This will be an all yellow litter and 2nd litter together, we have heard nothing but positive results from the group of kids that left here last year.

Ultrasound results on the Rio and Truman pairing will be posted at 7:00 PM Wednesday the 15th.
All yellow group with a go home date of July 11th if successful

This dog has so much self control she’s not even trying to get the steak. She never gets table scraps or sits on the table while we eat but tonight she got up and just watched us eat:)

Just witnessed their first tie.
Rio and Truman’s kids should arrive in about 63 days. I will confirm by ultrasound in another 30 days

A new message from Eric on how Bekah is doing

“We are working on whistle stops . “place” to the dog stand. Collar conditioning. Retrieving both on the ground and off the dog stand. Kennel and more stuff that goes with obedience. I’m a big believer in obedience then the other stuff comes from that. “

Bekah (Pita and Chance kid) is at the trainers in southern Arkansas. Looks like Eric has got her listening ears turned on.
