Doc and everyone at Rowland Animal Clinic wish you and your family a fun, safe, and happy Independence Day weekend!

As you celebrate, please remember to keep your pets safe. Fireworks, heat, and holiday gatherings can be stressful and dangerous for our furry friends. Keep them indoors, ensure they have proper identification, and never leave them outside unattended during fireworks.

As a reminder, we are closed today for our regularly scheduled Saturday closure. Doc will be back in the office on Tuesday.

We have some really hot weather on the way.🌡️ Please be mindful of the dangers of exercising your pets or having them outside for extended periods of time.

Remember: if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws and bodies too. ❤️🐾

• Close windows and curtains to reduce noise and flashes
• Provide comfort items like their favorite bed or toy
• Keep fireworks, food, and alcohol away from pets

Do you have a pet who is afraid of fireworks? Doc can help! ❤️ Be sure to call soon if your pet needs prescribed medication for the holiday fireworks.

A quick reminder: medication can only be prescribed for patients Doc has seen within the last year, so don’t wait until the last minute!
