Petey had a big day at the forest preserve today! Little dude can be quiet reactive and a potential bite risk when around strangers.

We went out to a busy forest preserve nearby and had many encounters with people, bikes, skateboards and dogs today! Petey showed me yesterday while out his reactivity with little dogs and bikes, which he really hadn’t come until now! However, today, Petey showed me he understands what is now expected!

Petey lunged at the first small dog we passed, I told him to leave it, gave a leash correction and asked him to get back into heel, which after one last bark he did! Fast forward to later in the walk we passed 2 more little dogs and he got to the end of the slack on his leash and left it on his own! By the end of the walk he was ignoring the other dogs we passed completely!

One of my favorite things as a trainer is seeing the training finally click in a real life scenario! Proud of my little buddy!

Please help me in welcoming she will be joining us for our 2 Week Board and Train Program!

Tink is currently struggling with food aggression with her older brother Okee, so over the next few weeks we will be working with her on her over all obedience and making better decisions when she’s around other dogs and her food! Teaching her that no one is going to steal her food and she doesn’t need to steal anyone else’s!

Welcome Gizmo!

Gizmo is here for our 2 Week Board and Train Program! His mama just rescued him and wants to start him off on the right path! He is a super shy guy! So we’ll be working on building up his confidence, as well as, overall manners!

Rose is here for our puppy board and train program! Her owners biggest issues are potty training, puppy nipping, and over all manners! We will be working through all Rose’s issues while she’s here with us! We can’t wait to see her progress!

ONE ON ONE TIME

Do you live in a multi dog household?

Do you feel like you don’t get enough ONE ON ONE time with your pups?

Something I like to do is take my personal dog on a ONE ON ONE field trip a couple times a week!

I feel that one on one time with each dog in the house hold is so important it strengthen the relationship with that individual dog when you’re not having multiple dogs fighting for your affection or attention!

So if you have a multi dog or even just a one dog household I challenge you to get outside with your dog! Take them to a dog friendly restaurant/brewery/winery, dog friendly store, or just to a park to walk or play together! Get out and train with your pup!
