⚠️ This is a SERIOUS and often FATAL disease in cats that we see here in Oklahoma—especially during warmer months.

🦠 What is it?
Bobcat Fever is caused by a parasite (Cytauxzoon felis) spread through tick bites, often from areas where bobcats live.

🐱 Symptoms to watch for:
• Lethargy / hiding
• Loss of appetite
• Fever
• Pale or yellow gums (jaundice)
• Difficulty breathing
• Sudden decline within days

🚨 Important:
This disease progresses FAST—sometimes in as little as 2–3 days. If your cat seems “off,” don’t wait.

💉 Prevention is KEY:
✔️ Keep cats on monthly flea/tick prevention
✔️ Limit outdoor exposure
✔️ Check for ticks regularly

📞 If you notice any symptoms, call us immediately.
We would much rather check a pet early than too late.

🐾 He Just Wants To Be Someone’s Whole World… 🐾

This sweet, neutered male Chow is still waiting for his forever home… and honestly, we can’t understand why. 💔

He has so much love to give. The kind of love that shows up in quiet moments — when he leans into you for comfort, when he gently wraps you in his signature “Chow hug,” when he curls up beside you just happy to be near his person. He is a true cuddle bug with the biggest heart.

He would thrive as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and return it tenfold. Some dogs are meant to share… and some are meant to be your once-in-a-lifetime soul dog. He is that kind of dog. 🤍

Imagine coming home after a long day to a loyal companion who greets you like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to him… because to him, you will be.

Let’s change his story. Let’s give this incredible boy the peaceful, loving home he deserves.

👉 Please reach out to Save Oklahoma Pets Society to learn more about adopting this sweet boy.
Your share could be the one that finds him his forever family. 🏡🐕

🌸🐾 SPRING THREAT ALERT — Parasites Are Here 🐾🌸

World Parasite Awareness Day!

We’ve already performed over 50 f***l tests this year… and nearly 90% have come back POSITIVE for parasites.

The scary part?
Many of these pets had little to no symptoms.

We recently had a client drop off a sample simply because their pet was eating other animals’ f***s — and it tested positive for parasites.

Parasites don’t always look obvious.
They can silently impact your pet’s health and are transmissible to humans, putting your whole household at risk.

⚠️ Keep your pet protected
⚠️ Keep your home protected
⚠️ Keep your family protected

The good news is testing is simple.

✔️ F***l testing is a quick drop-off service
✔️ Grab a f***l container anytime from our front desk
✔️ Bring the sample back when convenient
✔️ No appointment needed

Routine testing and prevention are some of the easiest ways to stop parasites before they become a bigger problem.

📞 Stop by today to pick up a container or call us to discuss prevention options.

Spring is parasite season — don’t wait for symptoms.

🐾🚨 Crescent Veterinary Hospital Alert — Parvo Is Upon Us 🚨🐾

At Crescent Veterinary Hospital, we are currently seeing extremely high numbers of Parvovirus cases. In just the past two weeks, we have hospitalized and treated 11 puppies for this serious and life-threatening illness.

Parvo spreads very easily and can live in the environment for long periods of time. We want to work together with our community to keep puppies safe.

✨ Please remember these important safety precautions:

🐶 Keep puppies on a proper vaccination schedule — this is their best protection
🚫 Avoid dog parks, pet stores, and high-traffic areas until vaccines are complete
🤝 Limit contact with unknown or unvaccinated dogs
👟 Be mindful that Parvo can be carried on shoes, tires, and clothing
⚠️ Watch for early warning signs: vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, decreased appetite, or fever

Early treatment can make a huge difference in survival. If your puppy is showing any concerning signs or you have questions about vaccine timing, please call us right away.

🐣🌸 From fighting to flourishing… look at these sweet babies now. 🌸🐣

Just a few days ago, these tiny pups were extremely sick and needed hospitalization and intensive care with our team. Watching them transform from fragile and struggling… to playful, curious, and full of life has been the biggest reward.

Moments like this are why we do what we do.

We are so thankful to the rescue for trusting us with their care and allowing us to be part of their healing journey. These Easter photos feel extra special because they truly represent hope, resilience, and new beginnings. 💛🐾

Due to the One Big Beautiful Bill, signed into law July 1, 2025, new federal student loan limits will restrict federal borrowing to $50,000 per year and a total of $200,000 per professional program, starting July 1, 2026. For many veterinary students starting programs this fall, federal aid will no longer cover the Cost of Attendance (COA) for veterinary school. The majority of veterinary school seats exceed $50,000 per year for tuition, fees, and estimated living expenses.

Please call or right your congressman and senator. This will severely affect rural practices and drive cost up for pet care further and affect food safety.
