😽SEPTEMBER 1ST IS GINGER CAT APPRECIATION DAY!😽

Here are some fun facts about ginger kitties:
1. Roughly 75-80% of ginger cats are male.
2. The ginger cat is not a distinct breed but a color. They come in various hues of red, orange and cream.
3. All ginger cats are tabbies. All ginger cats display some kind of tabby pattern in their orange coats but it's sometimes so light that the cat might appear to be solid in color.
4. Many ginger cats develop freckles on their faces. They most commonly appear on their lips, nose and gums.
5. Orange cats have a reputation of being friendly and affectionate.
6. Ginger cats get their orange color from a specific pigment called pheomelanin, the same pigment responsible for red hair in humans.

😁🐾🐈HAPPY VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST WEEK! 😃🐾🐕

Shoutout to some of the MVPs of our clinic-our receptionists! The ones who answer 47 calls at once, translate "my pet is acting weird" into actual medical notes, dodge surprise zoomies iin the lobby and somehow greet every one with a smile! They're part scheduler, part therapist, part referee.... and 100% essential to keeping this place from turning into total chaos.
