BREED SPOTLIGHT: SEAL POINT SIAMESE
* Born light, darken with age:
Siamese kittens are born very pale. Their signature darker “points” develop as they grow, appearing on cooler areas of the body like the ears, face, paws and tail.
* Those blue eyes are the real deal: Siamese cats are known for their beautiful, vivid blue eyes, which is a result of the genetics responsible for their distinctive coloring.
* They have plenty to say:
Siamese cats have a reputation for being VERY vocal. Many will happily carry on a conversation with humans.
* People-oriented:
These cats often form strong bonds with their families and tend to enjoy attention, interaction and being involved in whatever you’re doing.
* Smart and curious:
Siamese cats are intelligent, playful and can often learn tricks, play fetch and figure out puzzle toys.
* Why are they called “Seal Point?”
The term describes their coloring: a lighter cream-colored body with deep seal-brown points on the face, ears, legs and tail.
They know how to make an impression.
