We personally think there should be a Miss America pageant for dogs because Rhea would make top 5 no problem. She is 1 year old, weighs about 35 lbs, and somehow looks like she walked straight out of a luxury photo shoot.
She didn’t have the easiest start to life and spent much of it living outside with a breeder who called her a Border Collie/Poodle mix, which respectfully, we cannot confirm. What we CAN confirm is that Rhea is amazing. Once she feels safe around you she is silly, affectionate, and very entertaining. She is the kind of dog who looks graceful while standing still and then immediately trips over her own legs running toward you because she’s so excited to say hello.
Rhea gets along with other dogs, loves belly rubs, and is looking for someone patient enough to let her bloom into the happy pup she was always meant to be. Underneath all that beauty is just a sweet girl who wants to feel safe, adored, and included. PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SHARE!

Collette is a stunning queen looking for her forever home. STOP BY ADOPTION HOURS SATURDAY 10AM-2PM TO MEET HER IN PERSON! You can apply online by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d
There’s just something about Colette that makes people stop in their tracks. Maybe it’s her super model legs, her gorgeous coat, or what an amazing best friend she is going to be. Whatever it is, she’s absolutely stunning and we’re obsessed.
Colette is around 1 year old and weighs about 34 lbs. We were told she was part of a backyard breeding situation where “Border Collie/Poodle mixes” were being sold, though honestly we’re not entirely sure where either breed is hiding. What we DO know is that she is a gentle soul who deserved so much better than the start she was given.
Her first year of life was not a kind one, and because of that, Colette takes a little time to warm up to new people and places. She is incredibly sweet, just understandably cautious. Once she starts to feel safe, you can see how badly she wants connection and love. Colette gets along well with other dogs and we think she might really blossom in a home with a calm, confident canine companion to help her continue building confidence. Because she needs patience and understanding while adjusting, we think a home with children 14+ would be the best fit. It’s not that Colette dislikes kids, she simply needs people who can respect her pace and allow her the space to settle in without pressure. She is going to become something really extraordinary for the lucky family willing to give her the patience she’s always deserved. Please LIKE, COMMENT, AND SHARE!

We are open SATURDAY 10am-2pm and Arden is really hoping you'll swing by adoption hours to meet her. You can also apply online by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d
Arden spent the first year of her life being failed by people. She was cruelly used for breeding in a backyard situation, tied to a fence, and left to navigate a world that was never very kind to her. She learned early on that survival meant staying quiet and staying small. And somehow, despite all of that, she is still incredibly gentle.
This stunning long legged beauty is around 1 year old and 40 lbs of sweetness wrapped up in a sleek little body. We were told shes a Border Collie/Poodle mix, though honestly we're not entirely convinced. Whatever she is, she's absolutely gorgeous, all graceful limbs, soulful eyes, and soft expressions that make you want to protect her forever.
Arden can be shy when meeting new people and needs a little time to feel safe, but once she starts to trust you, you can see the sweet dog she was always meant to be. We think she would likely do very well with another kind, confident dog to help show her the ropes and reassure her that the world isnt such a scary place anymore.
Because Arden needs patience and space while settling in, we think a home with kids 14+ would be best. Its not that she dislikes children, she simply deserves an environment where people can understand her boundaries and allow her to warm up at her own pace.
Arden does not need someone to fix her.
She just needs someone willing to love a dog who has been through far too much far too young.
And we have a feeling that once she realizes she's finally safe, she's going to bloom into something really special. Please like, comment, and SHARE to help us spread the word.

Every Blink Hurts: SAL NEEDS OUR HELP!
Please consider donating to his eye surgery by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/ykpwu2f2 or Venmo: Heart-of-RI
Sal has entropion, a painful condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the lashes/fur to scrape against the eye. Every blink can feel like something scratching his eye and without surgery, it can lead to ulcers, scarring, and permanent damage.
The good news? Surgery can fix it and give him a pain free future.
The bad news? His surgery is estimated to cost $3,000.
We are asking our amazing Heart of RI community to help us give this little guy the care he deserves. He should be chasing toys, snuggling, and being a silly puppy, not living with eye pain. Please donate if you can and share to help us get his surgery scheduled. Let’s help him see the world clearly and comfortably.

Fox is wondering why no one wants him when he is such a good boy. Stop by tonight 3-7pm to meet this stud in person. Fox is a 5 year old, male, Lab mix. He is 55lbs and is somehow still running on full puppy software. This guy is pure sunshine and thinks every day is his birthday. Happy, wiggly, and always ready for whatever fun youve got planned (or whatever fun hes decided youre about to have). Fetch? Yes. Playtime with dog friends? Absolutely. Standing nearby hoping for attention? Also, yes. Fox loves to be loved and lives his life like every moment is the best one yet.
Hes a total social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs and is always ready to make a new friend. Fox walks nicely on leash and does a solid job keeping his kennel clean most of the time, hes got manners to go along with all that personality. The only thing on his not my thing list? Cats. Fox would do best in a cat-free home where he can focus fully on his mission of spreading joy and living his best life. Please like, comment, and SHARE!

Jilly is really hoping you're coming to meet her today 3-7pm. You can also apply by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/4yy3nz2d She is over life in a cage and has been really hoping someone would finally pick here. We cant get enough of this face! Meet Jilly. She is about 7 months old and is quite the showstopper. Seriously, she looks like she was designed in a factory that specializes in puppy perfection! She appears to be some kind of Lab mix, which means she comes fully stocked with puppy enthusiasm, and endless curiosity. Jilly has been amazing since arriving and gets along nicely with other dogs. Shes playful, friendly, and always ready to explore (especially if snacks might be involved).
Like all young pups, Jilly is still working on important life lessons like learning the house rules, discovering that shoes are not snacks, and perfecting the dramatic flop for belly rubs. If youre looking for a fun, friendly puppy who will keep life entertaining and your heart very full, Jilly is ready to apply for the position. Please like, comment, and SHARE!

Romero is one of our long term residents that is STILL waiting for a foster and forever home. Just look at this face! Between his stunning markings and that smile, we struggle sometimes to come up with the words to describe how handsome Romero is. He is a 2 year old, male, Plott Hound mixed breed. This active and happy guy is always ready for his next adventure. He loves to stay busy and would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and getting out to explore the world together. Romero is especially fond of other dogs and truly shines when he has canine friends to run and play with. He would do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog or with a family committed to keeping him socially and physically engaged. In exchange, he will shower you with sloppy kisses and endless love. Stop by today 3-7pm to meet him or another of our amazing adoptable dogs and cats. PLEASE SHARE!
