Puppy Alert!
I got to meet Bright last night, he is going to be so much fun for his mom in agility!
Since Bright is only a young puppy I use this opportunity to get him comfortable with handling and examination in a low stress and playful session. He enjoyed lots of treats while I evaluated his structure and performed gentle manipulations to keep him growing and moving well.
He has a Bright future ahead and is going to be so much fun!

Pain management is so important to keep our pets moving. Movement preserves muscle mass, strength and overall quality of life.

❌ MYTH: "We should hold off on prescription pain medication for as long as possible so my dog doesn't build up a tolerance and run out of options later."

✅ FACT: Dogs do not build up an "immunity" or tolerance to primary arthritis medications (such as NSAIDs). Waiting until end-stage pain before starting treatment actually makes pain significantly harder to manage.

When chronic joint discomfort is left unmanaged in the early to moderate stages, the central nervous system undergoes rewiring - a process known as central sensitisation (neural "wind-up"). This turns the volume dial on pain all the way up, lowering your dog's pain threshold and making subsequent discomfort far more intense and resistant to standard treatments.

Starting baseline pain relief early protects the nervous system, stops the cycle of compensatory muscle strain, and preserves vital joint mobility.

I was lucky to meet Chaos!
Chaos is a super sweet beagle who has lived up to his name-from being hit by a car as a puppy, heartworm disease, and now an adrenal tumor!
Chaos’ family reached out to me for acupuncture and rehabilitation to keep this fun loving boy happy and comfortable while he undergoes chemotherapy for his adrenal tumor.
