Bags aka Bagita turned 5 today! He is my feral street dog child who is as antisocial as his momma. Which means he doesn't go in group play. However, he guards the office to the best of his ability. You may have seen him in the office window cosplaying as a guard dog or being a menace in the lobby. He thinks he owns Barker. But he is truly a lovebug at heart - he wiggles for his favorite Barker staff (aka all of them) and gives puppy eyes for treats (TOO MANY PEOPLE STOP FEEDING HIM)! Happy birthday to my soul dog Bagita!!!!

Summer is coming to a close, but bday season lives on!

- Zuko is 8 and we cannot believe that. He still looks and acts like a pup! Zuko is Giovanna’s (our cool cat that works the front desk) dog and he sure knows that he’s a VIP around here. Here’s to many more years of Zuko howling, playing, and demanding attention 🥳

- Josie is 1 and this little pup is quickly making a name for herself around here! Josie comes in ready to party each morning and has about 12 new friends by the time she leaves daycare in the afternoon. We’re only one year in, I can’t wait to see what the years ahead hold!

- Bruno is 6 and he worked some type of magic with these pics. All of his friends were posing like pros for his big day. This happy go lucky dude is a joy to care for and we couldn’t be happier to be able to call him one of our own

- Leo is also 6 and the sweetest poodle you’ll ever meet. He loves coming to Barker to meet new friends, catch up with old pals, and get all the pets he wants! It’s never a bad day when Leo is around!

- Charlie is 9 and has been coming to us for a majority of his life. This perfect dude is a pro at Barker sleepovers. He loves to make new friends, steal all the attention from the humans, and sleep like a rock at the end of the day. What a wonderful pup!

- Ellie is 1, but you’d think this girl has years at Barker under her belt. Ellie plays hard and LOVES to make new friends. She is still a young pup, so she needs her naps here and there! The bday cake served as a perfect pillow for her midday snooze 😴

Summer 2026 can you please give us a break???!!! Our little chicken nugget alien Marvin passed away this week. We will miss this special lil man so freaking much. Why can't dogs live forever 😔 we are so blessed to have gotten to have Marvin in our lives. To all the doggies we have lost this year we hope our heaven is one day filled with you all greeting us on the other side.
