Mountaineer Basset Hounds Basset Hound owner, breeder and lover of the breed. My love for them started over 16 yrs ago and hasn't stopped. I will never not have a Basset in my life!

I've had 11 Bassets over the years and currently have 5 ranging from almost 11 yrs old to 3. Mountaineer Bassets is located in the heart of WV. We have American and European Bassets. Our Bassets are our family and are usually the first to steal the covers! We are not a kennel but a family who loves the breed. We do occasionally have litters so please check out our website for more information!

🌟ATTENTION 🌟 (I do not own, just helping)

I have been asked to help find this boy a new a home. Here is some info....

Roscoe-Pete, Male, almost 3yrs old, Intact, Registered and located in Abingdon, VA.

Since he was a pup he has been a trucking dog, going on the road with owner, however through no fault of Roscoe, owner is unable to take him on the road anymore. This has left Roscoe depressed, anxious, and confused leading to multiple runaways.

Family is looking for preferably a trucker with ability to take him back on the road as that is what he has been use to for most his life. He will need to go to a home with NO children.

If you are interested MESSAGE me and I will give you information to contact owner as they will make finally decision as to best home for him. If you know a trucker looking for a new best riding buddy please share this with them!! TIA
