Well folks, happy sunday......I hope everyone has had a beautiful week.
It has just torrential downpoured here for a day. I feel like we got all the rain from the hurricane. Winds were wild last night but we are good.
Outside of the cat jumping directly onto my stomach yesterday morning while I slept, I actually dont even feel like I had surgery. First few days were rough. But after that it has been smooth sailing. I attribute that to a few things. My husband has taken very very good care of me, I made an effort those first few days to get up and walk every hour or so just around the house and my unrelenting bullheadedness to never sit for too long. I literally feel like my body was prepped to heal the proper way this time around. Lots of water intake prior to surgery. And for some odd reason my appetite came back with a vengeance after not having one for years.
Its wild because I lived with excruciating daily pain for years. I almost wonder if this pain was so much less than that pain that my body just adjusted and was relieved. Took pain meds till yesterday and thats it. Rotating tylenol, ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer was much more helpful to healing. The muscle relaxer those first few nights gave me the best sleep of my life and I also think that attributed to faster healing too.
Im going to continue to just hang out. I may need my phone taken away because I just won 144 mini dumplings on a tiktok auction. Which my son will love but yeah, I need a better hobby rn 🤣
Photo is of my rubber ducky line that ive had for years that i was told was helios and very clearly arent so I just sat on them. They get some really cool patterning too.
