Veterinary medicine is so much more than playing with puppies and kittens. It's long days, messy scrubs, missed lunches, emotional moments, difficult decisions, and sometimes loving on patients who would rather be anywhere else! 😂🐾

It's also compassion, teamwork, dedication, laughter, and a whole lot of LOVE.

From our reception team who greets you with a smile, to our technicians and assistants who provide hands-on care, to our kennel and animal care team who keep everyone comfortable, and our veterinarians who dedicate their lives to helping animals every single person plays an important role in making our hospital special.

They have had a fun week filled so far with with treats, scavenger hunts, laughter, and a little extra spoiling because our team deserves to feel just as loved and appreciated as the patients they care for every day!

🐾🩺 October is Senior Pet Bloodwork Month at Oak Hill Animal Hospital! 🐶🐱❤️

They may be getting older, but their golden years deserve to shine! ✨🐾

As our beloved dogs and cats age, their healthcare needs change. Just like people, senior pets can develop health conditions that aren't always obvious on the outside. Even if your furry companion is eating, playing, and acting completely normal, there could be changes happening internally.

❤️ This month, we're offering 15% OFF our Senior Bloodwork Package! ❤️

Our comprehensive senior screening includes:

🩸 Comprehensive Bloodwork – Helps evaluate organ function, blood cell counts, and other important indicators of overall health.

💧 Urinalysis – Provides valuable insight into kidney function, urinary tract health, and potential underlying conditions.

🦟 Heartworm Testing – Helps screen for heartworm infection in dogs and assess an important aspect of their preventive healthcare.

🔎 Why is senior bloodwork so important?

🐾 Helps detect potential health concerns before noticeable symptoms appear.

🐾 Monitors kidney, liver, and other organ functions.

🐾 Helps identify conditions such as diabetes, anemia, and certain metabolic disorders.

🐾 Establishes important baseline values to monitor changes over time.

🐾 Allows our veterinary team to make more informed recommendations for your pet's individual healthcare needs.

Remember, age is not a disease! ❤️ With proactive veterinary care and early detection, we can help our senior companions enjoy more comfortable, happy, and healthy golden years.

📅 Don't miss out! Our 15% discount is available throughout October!

📞 Contact us today to schedule your senior pet's wellness screening

Spot the Problem Before It Starts! Fleas and ticks aren’t just itchy—they can spread serious diseases to your pets.

Keep them safe by:
✅ Feeling for bumps or scabs
✅ Checking hidden spots (ears, neck, belly, between toes)
✅ Using a flea comb to spot fleas or “flea dirt”

Regular checks mean happier, healthier pets!

📞 Call us if you need advice on the best preventives.
