Well… here we go again! 😂
For the second time, my grooming trailer was rear-ended while I was sitting at a red light. The kid who hit me was a college student and definitely seemed to be down on his luck, so as frustrating as the situation was, I couldn’t help but feel for him, too.
Honestly, that aluminum trailer just wasn’t holding up well anymore. So my husband found a steel trailer at a farm auction, and we decided to turn it into my next grooming home.
And when I say we hustled… we HUSTLED! The last three days have been a whirlwind of insulation, electrical, plumbing, and trying to make everything come together in time for me to actually work out of it tomorrow! 😳
Is it pretty? Nope. 😂
Is it finished? Definitely not.
Is it comfortable and functional? Absolutely!
This beast has an on-demand water heater, AC, electrical, plumbing, a grooming table, and a stainless-steel bathtub. It may not win any beauty contests right now, but it’s got everything I need to get back to doing what I love.
It will eventually get painted, and I already have a list of things I want to change, add, and improve. But for now, I’m just incredibly grateful.
Grateful for my husband, for the countless hours of work, for the creativity and problem-solving, and for all the love, sweat, tears… and probably a little blood 😂 that went into getting this thing ready in just three days.
We may have built a beast, but hopefully this one is here to stay for a LONG time!
And one thing is for certain…
I WILL NOT BE PAINTING IT WHITE. 😂
Because apparently, my other trailer was invisible. 🤦♀️
Both times it was hit while I was sitting completely stopped at a light. . So yeah… we’re going with a brighter color this time. Maybe something that screams, “HEY! I’M RIGHT HERE!” 😂
Here’s to a new chapter, a new grooming trailer, and hopefully a whole lot of trouble-free miles ahead. ❤️🐾✂️
