Update: Adopted!

Meet Suki! ๐Ÿ’•

This sweet Chihuahua mix is a friendly little lady who loves everyone she meets. She enjoys getting out for walks and calmly taking in the sights. But if you ask us, sheโ€™s really just keeping an eye out for her next new friend to stop and say hello!

๏ปฟShe can be a little shy at first, so we recommend older children.

Suki is ready to find her person and be a loyal little companion. Could that person be you? Come meet her at Kenton County Animal Services!

๏ปฟAnd don't forget about our Howl-o-ween adoption special, with all adult animals having a reduced adoption fee of just $31 now through October 31.

Pepper is a calm, easygoing girl who enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. She may take a moment to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through and she loves spending time with her people.

Pepper has excellent home manners, walks beautifully on leash and enjoys going for car rides. In her foster home, she has also shown off her playful side by enjoying toys, playing fetch and showing off the commands she knows.

With her sweet personality, good manners and love for companionship, Pepper is ready to find a family to call her own.

Pepper is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in setting up a time to meet her, please email [email protected].

๐ŸŽƒ Halloween should be full of treats, not tricks for your pets! ๐ŸŽƒ

As you get ready for trick or treat, keep these pet safety tips in mind to help your furry friends have a safe and stress free Halloween.

๐Ÿพ Keep candy out of reach. Chocolate and other Halloween treats can be dangerous for pets, so make sure candy bags and bowls stay where curious noses and paws can't reach them.

๐Ÿพ Use caution with costumes. Never put your pet in a costume that restricts breathing or movement. If they seem stressed or uncomfortable, remove the costume and opt for a festive bandana instead.

๐Ÿพ Create a safe space. Costumed visitors and frequent doorbell rings can be stressful for pets. Give them a quiet, secure place to relax during trick or treat, and make sure they have identification on in case they slip out the door.

๐Ÿพ Be mindful of decorations. Lit candles can be knocked over by curious pets, so never leave them unattended. Keep decorations and other items your pet might chew or swallow out of reach.

Have a fun and safe Halloween, everyone!
