Hello friends, as I close out this last week of grooming your pets, I wanted to thank everyone once again for supporting me and my shop. And I have news! My location is changing hands to another salon, Cuddles & Cuts 2! Please consider booking with Angela if you're still looking for a groomer local to the Covington area. I am able to share previous grooming notes directly to Angela for anyone who books with her in the next couple weeks.

To my wonderful clients and furry friends: It is with a very heavy heart that I am announcing my retirement from pet grooming and closure of Affinity Grooming, effective August 31. I am incredibly sorry for the abrupt news, this choice has not been an easy one.

For anyone with standing appointments following August 31, I will reach out to you for rescheduling sooner or cancellation.

If you need a copy of your pet's current grooming notes to bring to your next groomers, please send me a message. There are so many wonderful salons locally, please reach out if you need recommendations.

Good morning all! Open hours are changing to 9-1 on Tues, Weds, Fri, and 10-1 on Sat. Affinity is no longer accepting new clients to give ample time for current clients to get their appointments in on these shorter days. Late afternoon options may still be possible for those who need it.

Current wait time for bookings is 3 weeks out. Please don't wait to get groomings on the books! Booking ahead is the only way to guarantee your pet can get in.

Unfortunately, this change is the result of a sudden and unexpected progression of a chronic health condition, which is limiting my ability to work for long hours.

The books are almost closed for May! Please reach out as soon as possible if you're looking for a booking. June has limited availability as well.

💕 Friendly reminder to the whole Affinity family, please wait to collect your pet until you've recieved a call or text from me saying that your pet is ready. If you arrive early, waiting in your car is absolutely okay. But if you come inside the shop too early, there's a high chance I won't be able to complete the groom, depending on what is left to be done. This does affect non-haircutting grooms as well.

As soon as your dog sees you, they're excited. Whatever calmness we achieved in the first half of the grooming is gone in an instant. It's impossible to safely finish trimming, drying, or brushing out a dog who isn't calm. Basically, if your pet sees you, it's game over. They just want to go home with you and will be upset if you leave again. Please keep this in mind. I cannot offer discounts for grooms ended early because the parent came in the shop too soon.

Hello my friends! A couple appointments spots are still available for this week. Don't miss out! Message me to get started with a booking.

My salon is fully one-on-one, which is perfect for anxious pets. I can groom dogs of all needs and sizes, as well as cats who are tolerant to the grooming process. Dogs over 60 pounds must be able to get into the bathtub on their own.

New appointment types for grooms will be available soon, including a few breed-specific services and different types of services based on coat type for all other breeds and mixes. Stay tuned!

This is your loving reminder that you can ✨always✨ tell me if there is an aspect of your dog's groom that you did NOT like! I will do whatever I can to make it right. Sometimes I can offer a discount or simply correct the issue on the spot. I always write grooming notes and usually repeat the same groom each time unless you tell me what you'd like changed! It's okay if my feelings are hurt 😅 the most important part here is that you are happy with how your pet looks 💕💕

I also would never post a picture of a groom that the owner tells me they didn't like! This is Pyper June, such a sweet Yorkie lady.

Shedding season is here! 🐾 Don't wait to get your double-coated pups in for a bath or groom, de-shedding can be added to either appointment type!

What is de-shedding? It's a process of removing all of the loose undercoat (the fuzzy stuff that creates dust balls in the corners of your home) and most, if not all, of the loose topcoat fur (the more hair-like strands that stick to clothing). It's painless and simple! Just a lot of elbow grease on my part. For most dogs, it's just $10 extra for heavy coats.

There's something SO cute about a simple, short trim! Short styles will save you a lot of time brushing between appointments 😌 Sometimes a short trim is necessary if significant tangling or matted fur is present, but this sweet dog shows off that short is CUTE! No matter the reason why you choose the length.

Short styles are IN! Message me to get your pet booked (whether you prefer long or short 😉)

A rare Saturday appointment has opened up on the 21st! Message me right away if you need a weekend spot.

Don't wait to book your appointments! Appointment times are becoming fewer and fewer. The best chance to get consistent appointments with me is to book in advance. Repeating 4 week appointments (or sooner) will recieve a 5% discount. Most dogs do well on a 4-10 week schedule depending on their fur type and your budget. Please reach out if you'd like some help deciding 🐾

I just LOVE being trusted to introduce puppies to their first ever grooming 💕 Mr. Bentley was very brave for his face/feet/sani trim. It's a really good idea to get your puppies in before they're older than 16 weeks. This helps them associate with the grooming process before the crucial socialization period closes.

A few March appointments are still available! If you want to get in before April, book soon!
