Most memorable moment for July.

As mentioned in my last post, this little mare has been a somewhat complicated case for me. In the fact that she holds so much mental and physical tension, it’s hard to get her to join me in my energy and let it all go. A lot of my body work relies heavily on energy work, and if the horses nervous system is always “on” it’s hard for me to get any real feed back, and the horse to get the most out of their session.

Yesterday Meg fully tapped in, and finally relied on me for reassurance in what she was feeling in her body, and how I was manipulating it. I’m so proud of her and beyond grateful she has finally allowed me to show her the comfort in my work🥰

Summer is here and with that brings a crazy schedule and juggling work/home balance.

Here are my new summer hours (and reminder of policies) to accommodate my wonderful clientele and also my crazy 7yo who enjoys having his mom home occasionally 😅

Tuesday – Thursday
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Saturday
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturday appointments will be prioritized for group sessions located within 40 miles of Coventry, RI.

New Client / First Appointment
$120

Established Client
$100
Clientele maintaining a regular appointment schedule within a 4–6 week period.

Group Sessions
$85 per horse
Available for established clientele only. Group sessions require a minimum of 2 horses and a maximum of 5 horses.

🚨🚨Appointment Policies

I hate to do it, but my time is limited. Any canceled appointments outside of emergent situations will have to be charged the cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy
A $50 cancellation fee will be applied to appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice.

⏳ Session Length
All sessions are scheduled in 60 minute time slots. Every horse is unique, and sessions are tailored to the individual horse's needs. As a result, some appointments may run slightly under or over the allotted time depending on the horse's comfort level, tolerance, and therapeutic requirements. I reserve the right to end any session if I feel the horse is no longer being receptive or safe during treatment.

🐴 Arrival & Preparation
Please have your horse caught, groomed, and ready at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Delays in preparation may impact your horse's treatment time.

🙋🏼‍♀️ Owner Presence
Unless otherwise arranged, owners are expected to be present during their horse's appointment. This helps ensure clear communication and maintains the highest standards of safety and care.

🙌🏻 Important Notice
I will not work on any horse that I am unfamiliar with if the owner or designated barn staff member are not present during the appointment.

With the spring grass here most of us are being proactive in restricting sugars and for our insulin friends, hay nets have been put to use.

Especially for our IR friends, it’s an absolute necessity to utilize and feed with slow feed nets to help slow consumption, and maintain a healthy body condition. But with the use of nets, comes the restrictions in the body I see as a result. I often encounter horses with lumbar, cervical/thoracic trapezius, and neck/atlas restrictions and over/under development due to nets being hung too high.

Here is a helpful “field study” I conducted this morning with my lease horse to show the difference of all three heights I see nets hung, and the real time effect it has on the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and even cranial region. Some safe and functional options that I recommend listed at the end of the video 😉
