🇺🇸 Pets for Patriots: A New Chapter, A Forever Friend

Some of the most meaningful bonds begin with a second chance.

Verde Valley Humane Society is proud to participate in Pets for Patriots, a program that helps eligible U.S. military veterans find loving companions among shelter pets who are often overlooked.

Through the program, eligible veterans can receive support to make pet ownership more affordable, including assistance with pet food and essentials, access to affordable veterinary care, and discounts on pet products and services.

For veterans, a new companion can mean comfort, connection, and a loyal friend by their side. For a shelter pet, it means the chance to finally call somewhere home.

🐾 Are you a veteran thinking about adopting? Ask our team about Pets for Patriots, eligible pets, and available benefits.

Two lives. One incredible bond.

Wishlist Wednesday: Treats That Make Tails Wag!

This week, our pups are dreaming of one thing: high-value dog treats, especially the soft and chewy kind!

These tasty little rewards do so much more than satisfy a snack craving. They help our dogs learn new skills, enjoy enrichment activities, build trust, and make positive connections with the people caring for them while they wait for their forever families.

Want to help make a shelter pup’s day a little brighter? Check out our wishlist to see what we need and how you can donate!

🐈‍⬛ Something Wickedly Wonderful This Way Comes… Hello There! I'm Cobweb! 🕸️

Don’t let the spooky season fool you! There’s nothing suspicious about me… except how quickly I might steal your heart!

I’m Cobweb, a dashing black-and-white tuxedo boy, around 6 months old, with a distinguished look and a whole lot of charm. 🖤

I know black cats have been surrounded by superstitions for centuries, but I’m here to prove that the only bad luck would be passing me by!

So, when you’re searching for your new best friend, don’t overlook us black cats and our tuxedo-wearing pals. You might just miss out on finding your very own lucky charm!

Ready to let me weave my way into your heart? 🕸️ Come meet me and see if we’re a match!
