🧡 Hey... it's me again, your favorite orange cat, Julius! 🐾

You know... the guy with one good eye, a big personality, and lots of love to give.

I may be in my golden years, but I'm still playful, affectionate, and always happy to soak up attention.

These days, I know my outdoor adventures are behind me. What I dream of now, is a cozy home, a comfy bed, and someone to love.

Since it's National Foster Month, I wanted to ask... have you ever considered fostering a senior cat like me?

Fostering gives cats like me a chance to enjoy the comfort of a loving home while we wait for our forever family. Even if it's only for a little while, your kindness can make all the difference, and who knows? You might just fall in love.

Looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of shelter animals? At Verde Valley Humane Society, every skill has a place, and every volunteer makes an impact.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:
🐶 Dog Walking Crew
Help our dogs get the exercise, enrichment, and socialization they need while they wait for their forever homes.
🛍️ Lobby Shop Rockstars
Support our shelter by helping in the lobby shop and turning donations into lifesaving dollars.
📅 Event Day Heroes
Assist with adoption events, fundraisers, and community outreach programs that help animals find loving families.

Whether you can give a few hours a week or a few hours a month, your time helps provide care, comfort, and second chances for homeless pets.

You’ve Probably Heard of Agility Training… But Why Does It Matter? 🐾

Agility training isn’t just fun, it plays a vital role in a dog’s physical health, mental stimulation, and confidence.

For the dogs in our care at VVHS, agility work helps reduce stress, build trust, and prepare them for successful adoption into loving homes.

To continue providing this important enrichment, we’re in need of updated agility equipment, including:
• Dog agility panel jump
• 35" pause table with rubber surface (obedience training platform)
• 12' dog walk
These tools help our dogs stay active, engaged, and ready for their forever families.
