This is why “accidental litters” and breeding dogs for profit as a “business” is a problem.
Stop creating life you’re not willing to personally be responsible for to the end. Stop thinking creating animals is a way to pay for your Land Rover and your new build mansion.
If my dog had babies that were related to her or him I would care about what happened to every single one of them the rest of their lives and keep TRACK of them. I would take them back in a HEARTBEAT if at any point they were at risk of being mistreated or left at a shelter.
Where are the breeders of these dogs that are filling shelters to capacity? Why aren’t they stepping up? Why are they letting someone else care more about the lives THEY created than the breeders themselves do? Why are they letting other people get burnt out and heartbroken cleaning up their mess?
This problem will only keep getting worse until we regulate breeders and hold them accountable. Otherwise, thousands more dogs will continue to be killed DAILY.
The longer I live life and work with dogs the more worked up I get about this😤😤😤
IMPORTANT SHELTER ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the Chino Valley Animal Shelter being completely full, we are currently experiencing an immediate emergency with NO available kennel space.
Effective immediately, the shelter is unable to accept stray dogs being brought into the shelter due to our current capacity and unavailable kennel space. We understand this is not an ideal situation and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding while we work through this emergency.
We will still do everything we can to help! If you have found a stray dog, please contact the shelter. We may be able to assist by:
🐾 Scanning the dog for a microchip
🐾 Posting a photo of the found dog on our page
🐾 Providing guidance and assistance based on the circumstances
Please do not abandon or leave a dog at the shelter. We are asking the community to work with us while we navigate this temporary emergency.
