Our puppy classes are designed to help handlers get ahead of the chaos before it turns into bigger behavior struggles.

This class is for puppies who are easily overstimulated, overtired, struggling with recall, jumping on people, using their teeth too much, or beginning to show some pretty big opinions about listening. In other words: the puppies who need more than just “wait and see.”

We’ll help you build the foundations that matter most — calmness, engagement, better responsiveness, and the kind of everyday skills that make life with your dog feel more peaceful and enjoyable.

Our next puppy class starts April 19th, and registration is still open. We have a few spots left and we'd love to help you develop your puppy into the dog you're dreaming they will become.

We had such a great time yesterday with the kindergarten classes at Creslane Elementary School!

This is our second year being part of their 101 Days of School celebration, and we’re so proud of these learners for developing so much this year.

Is puppy life feeling a little... intense? We get it.

We'd like to invite you to take a moment and think about a GOOD dog you've known. Not just a fun dog, or a happy dog, or a hard-working dog, but a good dog. Got one in mind?

Nearly all "good" dogs have this in common: they are CALM. They are not "crazy" or "chaotic." And due to their state of inner calm, their external behavior is reliable, predictable and trustworthy. Hallmarks of a "good" dog.

But the world is SO MUCH FUN, that most puppies do not exist in a state of peaceful calm. They are usually not predictable ("Squirrel!"). Or trustworthy. (How are those cell phone charging cords?? 🤣) Most puppies are chaos personified. They are tiny tyrants who have somehow wiggled their way into our beds and into our hearts.

So what do we do about the outrageous puppy energy?!?!

Our next round of Puppy Classes is about to begin, and it’s built for the real-life struggles you’re facing right now. Not just sit-stay-come drills, but how to actually build a calm, focused pup who can handle the world and listen to you in the middle of it.

This class isn't packed with principles that are "popular," or "trending." It's not flashy, and it's not hyped up tricks. And, in fact, if you've tried following puppy trainers online and their methods are not quite working as promised, this class is definitely for you.

This class teaches you how to get ahead of the common challenges most puppies run into, how to use common tools for building and reinforcing calm behavior, self-soothing, and self management, how to stop reinforcing wild behavior without realizing it, and how to build the kind of structure that helps your dog feel safe—and gives you the data points you need to feel empowered that you're doing the right thing in response to your puppy's unpredictable or chaotic or just plain energetic behavior.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need a plan. And some local, experienced support. Also, maybe a reminder that your puppy isn’t a jerk — they're just learning.

“My dog jumps the fence.”

“My dog digs UNDER the fence.”

“My dog doesn’t care about or listen to me at all on a walk.”

“My dog cares SO MUCH about me on a walk, that he/she views other people and dogs as threats.”

“My dog eats things that aren’t food, and my vet bills are out of control.”

“My dog comes when I call, but only if he/she feels like it.”

“My dog is a great dog, but I wish (fill in the blank thing) was different.”

We hear these things all the time. And we are often really successful at resolving these issues for folks.

But our absolute favorite thing is teaching people how to PREVENT these things.

Puppy class is a really great way to get a head start on building the dog you really want.
