Honestly, we can’t think of a better way to spend a long weekend. Whether they’re black, chocolate, yellow, or somewhere in between, Labs have a special talent for filling our lives with love, laughter, slobber, and approximately 47 tennis balls. 🎾😂

Great question! The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) updated their canine vaccination guidelines to make the Leptospirosis (“lepto”) vaccine a core recommendation for all dogs across North America. 🐶🐾

Lepto is spread through the urine of infected wildlife (like raccoons, skunks, and rodents) or other infected dogs.

Even in urban or suburban Minnesota backyards, wild critters easily leave the bacteria in standing water, puddles, or damp grass.
The bacteria causes severe liver and kidney failure in dogs, which can quickly become fatal if not caught early.

AND it’s zoonotic, meaning it CAN be spread to humans!

From tiny kittens and pint-sized pups to one very big baby, Kyla, Jamison, Maeve, Jaxon, and Macie all brought their own special brand of adorable to their visits! 🐱🐶💕

We will re-open on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 8am. If your pet is in need of immediate care please contact one of the local emergency clinics in the area.
