The Old Mill Farm Store began its long history in 1853 with three partners who combined their talents of grinding grain, shoeing horses, and cutting wood. By 1870, milling grain on-site became its primary function until 1963. It was called the Cottage Grove Flour Mill from turn of the century until the 1950’s when it was renamed Cottage Grove Feed and Produce though locals always referred to as Th

e Old Mill. In the late 60’s it was rechristened with its current name. Store owners Debbie Lavios and Chuck McLeod signed the papers for the store on September 13th, 1999. When they purchased the store, it was on the verge of closing with its stock severely depleted. In their effort to rebuild the business, Debbie and Chuck started out with a goal of offering the best quality food and supplies while keeping the prices affordable. Twenty-two years later, they are still operating on those same principles, providing the residents of Cottage Grove a wide selection of products for both livestock and household pets.
