This adorable little calf came to us after suffering a broken femur, and it took Dr. Brown and our incredible team to get this sweet patient stabilized. From carefully assessing the injury to doing X-rays to placing a splint and making sure our little friend was as comfortable as possible, every member of our staff played an important role.

We’re so proud of our team for their dedication, compassion, and hard work. Cases like this remind us why we do what we do—helping animals when they need us most.

🦷🐶 Dental health matters—for every pet!

Meet sweet Ivy! 💕 This brave girl recently visited us to have two premolar teeth extracted after they became unhealthy and were causing discomfort. She actually had two slab fractures!

Dental disease is one of the most common health problems we see in pets, and it often goes unnoticed because our furry friends are experts at hiding pain. Signs of dental problems can include:
🦴 Bad breath
🦴 Difficulty chewing
🦴 Dropping food
🦴 Red or bleeding gums
🦴 Excessive drooling
🦴 Pawing at the mouth

Routine dental exams and professional cleanings help us catch problems early, before they become painful or lead to infections that can affect other organs like the heart and kidneys.

Whether you have a dog, cat, rabbit, or another companion animal, good dental care is an important part of keeping them healthy and comfortable. Regular checkups, appropriate dental chews or toys, and at-home tooth brushing (when possible) can all make a big difference.

Ivy did a wonderful job, and we’re wishing her a speedy recovery and many happy, pain-free smiles ahead! 💙

Remember Big Mike? One year ago, Dr. Canel brought this big guy safely into the world with a C-section, and just look at him now! 💪🤩 Check out the then and now photos!

It’s hard to believe this handsome fella started out needing a little extra help to make his grand entrance. Today, he’s thriving, growing like crazy, and enjoying life down in the pasture with his proud mama, Molly. ❤️

Seeing patients like Big Mike is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. From life’s biggest challenges to celebrating milestones like this, we’re honored to be part of the journey.

Puppy overload! 🐶💙

We had the sweetest litter of American Bully puppies visit our clinic last week, and they completely stole our hearts! From tiny paws to wiggly tails, these little ones made everyone’s day just a little brighter.

🦇 Community Health Alert: Confirmed Rabies Case

We want to make our community aware that a bat recently tested positive for rabies in our area.

Rabies is a serious viral disease that can affect both people and pets, but there are simple steps you can take to help keep your family safe:

• Keep your pets up to date on their rabies vaccinations.
• Never handle bats or other wild animals, even if they appear sick, injured, or unusually friendly.
• If you find a bat inside your home or if your pet has had contact with a bat or other wildlife, contact your local health department or animal control and call your veterinarian as soon as possible.
• If a person has had direct contact with a bat, seek medical advice promptly, even if no bite is obvious.

Rabies is preventable through vaccination and timely medical care after a potential exposure. Staying informed and keeping pets vaccinated are the best ways to protect everyone.

Do you all remember the Sheltie puppies that we fostered at the office over a year ago?!?!

There is nothing more rewarding than receiving updates like this! We recently heard from one of the wonderful families who adopted one of the puppies we helped find a forever home for, and seeing this sweet pup happy, healthy, and thriving absolutely made our day. 🥹💕

These puppies held a very special place in our hearts. Our team lovingly cared for them for 2+ months, making sure they were safe, healthy, and surrounded by love until each one found the perfect forever family. Watching their journey come full circle is something we’ll never forget.

We truly love receiving updates from our clients! Seeing these puppies grow, thrive, and become cherished members of their families reminds us why we do what we do every day.
