Some good news for a change! If you've been to the rescue, you've probably met The Old Man. His owner passed and he's been with us since. He's at least 15, slow moving but very sweet. Well, last night, a lady came in and fell in love with him. She is going to permanently foster him for the time he has left. We are so thankful for her and happy for him. Here are a few pictures of his first evening with his new friend. Thank you so much Summer, for giving this sweet boy a soft place to land! We appreciate you more than you could ever know!!

Hey all, Butters is concerned. We had two pair of bottle babies come in today and we have no foster to take them. Butters says he is in no position to feed babies, and since all of us here already have little fosters, we are not sure what to do. Can anyone help? It's getting to crunch time, and we really do desperately need some assistance. Thank you.

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who has messaged or commented, volunteering to foster!! We ask that you go to the website and fill out a foster application. If you like, where it asks why you went to foster, you can include the type of fostering you would like to do, such as bottle babies, mom and kittens, single kittens or recovering injured cats. Someone will contact you.

Thanks so much for stepping up. We never know when the next ones will come in, so if you don't hear from us immediately, don't worry, it will be your turn soon! Just yesterday we had 3 abandoned kittens brought in by 2 different people. They have been placed.

We are still desperately looking for foster homes. We've had three more tiny babies come in just this morning. And there are two litters that are now eating regular cat food that still need Fosters to free up the baby bottle Fosters. Can you help?? Do you know anyone who can? We don't want to turn away these tiny abandoned babies but we may not have any choice soon. Please contact us!

Today, the Entrepreneurs Club had a lemonade stand in downtown Corydon to benefit the rescue. Conrad, his sister Chandler (who is camera shy), Harper and Rhett raised $95.50 for KCR and we are so grateful! This will purchase litter, food, and maybe even some treats for the kitties here. Faithful followers, we need your help! We are in need of experienced kitten and bottle baby Fosters. They just seem to keep coming, and we are running out of options. If you or someone you know has experience with bottle babies or motherless kittens, please message us. We are getting desperate, and we certainly don't want to have to say no to tiny kittens. We will not put holds on anybody - first come first serve. It is kitten season and we are short staffed, it is too much to keep up with putting holds on cats. Hey KCR followers, Conley here. Just wanted to let you all know we still have spots available for our spay/neuter clinics.
Here are our available dates and how many spots each that are still open:

May 20th 6 neuters and 3 spays
May 27th 10 neuters and 6 spays
June 3rd 8 neuters and 5 spays
June 10th 8 neuters and 9 spays
June 17th 10 neuters and 10 spays
June 24th 10 neuters and 10 spays

If you want to schedule your babies just go to our website and fill out the application for spay/neuter and someone at KCR will get with you as soon as they can.

The service is $60 includes 1 year Rabies shot and FVRCP vaccine and microchip.

🚨🚨 Zeus Update: he went back to the vet yesterday, please check comments for the estimated weekly charges that have to go into his care. Also there is a receipt included for the money that you guys sent us. Thank you so much! We will be sending an additional $130 today. So we are about about $80 ish short for his visit yesterday. I'm still trying to help this owner because there is ongoing cost. His cast needs to be taken off weekly and changed and unfortunately he needs to be sedated for that so he doesn't displace the bone while the cast is off. Okay faithful followers, we have a mystery on our hands! Yesterday we received a package from one of our fans. It should have contained a bottle of Pine-Sol. Instead it was clear the Box had been tampered with and resealed with clear tape, and the contents is missing. Unfortunately, we can't find the sender anywhere on Facebook and Amazon customer service offered no service at all. So, if you are, or if you know Tammy Newton, you might ask her to contact Amazon about her tampered package for KCR. And, ask her to contact us so we can properly thank her for the thought.
