The Wings Programs, Inc. The Wings Programs Inc. is a 501c3 Non-Profit corp. dedicated to various equine welfare programs inc Wings Programs Inc.

is a GFAS (Global Federations of Animal Sanctuaries) verified equine rescue and sanctuary. Horses in our care receive rehabilitation for physical and emotional problems, and training as necessary to be able to transition into a new permanent home. Some of our horses are sanctuary horses, meaning they are not available for adoption for various reasons including age or health. These horses participate in Equine Assisted Programs including Life Skills, Equine Assisted Growth and Learning, youth and Veterans programs. Wings also administers the Crimes Against Livestock Reward fund that helps raise reward funds to encourage information leading to the arrest of those committing livestock criminal activity.

FOLLOW-UP HOOF CARE: MAVERICK & BILLY

Despite the internet noise and false information being circulated, one thing hasn't changed: Our horses are receiving the care and rehabilitation they need from the experts.

Today, Maverick, our palomino, and Billy, our little black pony, both from the Flathead County seizure, received another round of rehabilitation hoof trims from our farrier, Derek McKay with input from our in house hoof expert Debora Lay.

Derek brings his expertise he has developed working with Debora to these horses as we continue their rehabilitation. Hoof recovery doesn't happen overnight. It takes patience, consistency, knowledgeable professionals, and continued follow-up care.

Today's rehabilitation trims cost $60 per horse, totaling $120.

We don't just rescue animals and call it a day. We follow through with their care, regardless of what's being said online.

I continue to see posts claiming we are refusing to discuss hoof care and rehabilitation with Josh at the Peeps Foundation. This is simply false.

I’ve personally had several phone conversations with Josh, starting the week after the fair.

Please, stop spreading misinformation that originated from another rescue. It helps absolutely no one, especially the animals.

🐴 MEET WESTON – AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! 🐴

Weston is a handsome 2004 Arabian gelding (22 years young!) looking for the right home with an experienced horse owner who understands his needs.

Weston has recently been ridden and does well with children on a lead line. However, he does require an experienced rider and someone willing to put some time and consistency into improving his ground manners.

A few things to know about Weston:

🐴 22-year-old Arabian gelding

🐴 Recently ridden and does well with kids on a lead line

🐴 Requires an experienced rider

🐴 Ground manners need some work

🐴 Does best with one other gelding or by himself with frequent handling and attention

🐴 Not suited for herds of three or more horses

🐴 Up to date on dental care, hoof care, vaccinations, and deworming

Weston isn't a horse for just anyone, and that's okay! We're looking for someone who understands horses, can provide consistency, and is willing to work with him.

He still has plenty to offer the right person, and we'd love to see him find a home where he can thrive!

🫏❤️ Let’s keep exploring Wings Programs ranch and meeting more of our residents!

Meet Bella and Lucy, two sweet ladies who are getting a fresh start here at Wings!

Bella is our adorable spotted donkey, and Lucy is the beautiful brown girl. Both are currently undergoing some much-needed rehabilitation after struggling with excess weight and other health concerns.

But it’s not just their physical health we’re working on! Both girls are slowly coming around to human interaction, learning to trust, and realizing that people can be pretty wonderful. ❤️

Just look at this sweet exchange between Lucy and Debora! Moments like these are what rescue and rehabilitation are all about.

As for adoption, we're still evaluating their needs and progress, so they may or may not become available for adoption in the future. Stay tuned as we follow their journey!

As we gear up for another cold Montana winter, we're working hard to make sure every horse, donkey, mule, and miniature resident at Wings has a warm, safe place to call home and plenty of hay to keep their bellies full!

Feeding an entire herd through a Montana winter is no small task, and we could really use our community's help! ❤️

🐴🍎 COME PREPARED! 😂🥕

🐴❤️ Meet the herd at Wings Programs!

Some of you may not know exactly what we do here at Wings, so we thought it would be fun to take you around the property and introduce you to some of the incredible animals who call Wings home!

From rescue and rehabilitation to lifelong sanctuary care, every animal here has a story, and we want to share those stories with YOU!

🐴 Meet Sugar & Coco! 🐴

These two adorable miniature horses came to Wings as owner surrenders after their previous owner experienced health issues and could no longer care for them.

🤍 Sugar is the one with a little extra white on her face, and Coco is her equally adorable companion!

When they arrived, both girls were significantly overweight and struggling with insulin resistance. They needed more than just a new home. They needed specialized diets, rehabilitation, and ongoing care to help them get back on track.

Today, Sugar and Coco are receiving the care they need right here at Wings! ❤️

For now, these sweet girls are sanctuary residents and are not available for adoption. Their health and well-being come first, and we're committed to giving them the time and care they deserve.

This is just one small part of what we do at Wings Programs. Not every animal who comes through our gates is ready for adoption, and some may need a safe place to call home for the rest of their lives.
